  • Using up bananas...

Banana pancakes. Basic pancake mix for thick pancakes (plain flour, egg, half milk, half water) add 1 or 2 mashed bananas, good pinch of cinnamon, sprinkle of sugar. Fry in butter for best results and eat for breakfast or with vanilla icecream for pudding.

Banana flapjack - 150g butter, 150g light brown soft sugar, 4 tbsp clear honey, 350g porridge oats, 2 small bananas mashed, 50g banana chips (I replace these with mixed seeds). Heat oven to 190c. Line shallow 22cm tin with greaseproof paper. Gently heat butter sugar and honey in pan until dissolved. Add dry ingredients. Pour into tin and bake for 25 mins. Leave for 10 mins, mark into fingers then leave to cool before removing. - I don't like cooked bananas or honey but this is delicious!

Fruit smoothie - blend with berries and juice or milk. Add plain yoghurt for extra yumminess

Frozen banana - Quarter lengthways, spike with cocktail sticks, dip in chocolate and place on tray (lined with greaseproof paper) and put in the freezer.

    Hope this helps!

If you google 'baked bananas' there are tons of recipes, just thought with the weather being colder a hot dessert might work better.

Otherwise slice on top of breakfast cereal.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Fantastic news!
    1. They can link their website and their FB page to the FB page
    2. They can appeal to their fans and get them to collect
    3. They can be the central storage point (do we have anyone nearby who can liaise with them on this?)
    4. They can get as much press coverage as possible
    5. They can help raise funds for the shipping (after all, as we seem to have shorts/boots etc then we might need more)

I'm sure one of the PR/marketing gurus on here can put something together, and then we just need a volunteer or two to go to the meeting :) I would offer, but unless it's next Monday morning, I won't be around until late November, which is too late.

oops... I really MUST go to bed, it's 1am yet again...

I did suggest linking to the K4K page, and also the web-site when it is up and running. And I suggested that they ask their fans to donate and that they offered a collection point at the ground.......:o
And I can only do late November, so not much help there either.

Are the MK Dons a prestigious team? Are Reading?
