DT, that sounds like financial work to me ....
I already do book keeping for various charity organisations and it doesn't make my heart singalthough I do like it when the figures add up:)
Think I would rather do research so if anyone knows an author that needs some research doing preferably involving foreign travel that doesn't mind that I have no experiencepm me :rotfl::rotfl:
I have the ultimate capsule wardrobe having just emptied my wardrobe for the second time in less than 6 months 3 t shirts, 2 trousers (1 with ink stains on brand new that I can only wear round the house ) 1 skirt that is distinctly loose around the waist 2 jumpers and one cardigan - none of which are very thick so winter weather is not exactly catered for good job I am going shopping with Souk in a few weeks:D

DT I'm not good at languages either. But if it was me I'd be looking at trying to get the Welsh up to speed, maybe it's as much a confidence thing too if you can read and understand it. Are there any welsh speaking activities you could try.
On the interpersonal skills, you probably have better skills than you think. Running your household, dealing with the fostering etc isn't exactly not dealing with people.
By the way anyone know of any good free online Dutch language sites (preferably with spoken rather than just text), everyone speaks brilliant English here, but it would be good to learn some at least to be polite0 -
Too much  (I was a proseller in Amazon couple of years back until I had to close my shop because it was making a loss, I am left with the stock and can't make myself to just flog it
)
*toodles off to see how big van she can hire*
What sort of stuff did you sell - maybe.... no, surely not. Not another business :P0 -

Oooh - I would love to have a smart capsule wardrobe for work (something that doesn't need ironing :rotfl:)

As far as I remember, MPs hire researchers all the time ... and now that they can't hire family members quite so much, there may be more going on there.....

I did give it a good go some years ago went on an intensive five day a week course for several months and got my o level but my pronounciation is poor and is really not up to business standards. When I said behind the scenes it is not that I don't like meeting or dealing with people it was just to cover the language problem in this area if two people were to apply for a job here and one could speak welsh and the other couldn't the welsh speaker would get the job regardless of who could do the job better and lots of jobs state the ability to speak welsh is essential. A job where english was essential I would give them a run for their money :rotfl:

DT - What about something to do with Tourism, I'd have thought it would be mainly English needed rather than Welsh for that. Not sure what sort of area you're in, but things like setting up and running a management/maintenance company for second home/holiday home owners etc..

Hi Everyone - Oooh there are some other Matrix members in my age range (thought I was on a limb here) I'm 52.
Have been reading everybodies updates on the 100 day challenge.
My reason (excuse) is that I joined in after lurking, too late, to join in properly with it.
But I have made some major changes, namely the awful job, which I got up and walked out on. And found another one in the space of 2-3 weeks, so hopefully thats good.
My oh my, do I know who I am?
The answer is sometimes.
I've always been someone's mother, nurse, chaffeur, chief cook and bottlewasher, maid, all things to all people, wife, partner, fiance. To give Me much of a look in.
Now I compensate for my youngest stepson flying the nest (he's at Harrogate Army Foundation College and graduates in 8 weeks) by surrounding myself with grandbabies to fill the void.
I look at other peoples lives and think 'I could do that' but bunk off by not having the confidence to go for it.
People tell me I am confidentbut don't feel what they see.
I spend too much time brooding on this, time is passng, I want to do something, but I don't know what..........!!
More excuses to justify my lack of ambition methinks.
This thread though has given me a glimmer of hope, that something may just turn up.
Oh, and my youngest biological DS was diagnosed with schizophrenia 18 months ago (he is 18). Its taken me ages to find the nerve to post that, not because I'm ashamed, I'm not. I just was such a coward when it happened and I could'nt cope with it.
Got advice and help though so now we deal with it and I do what I have to do.
Nothing exciting here, but I still dream of finding something that makes MY heart sing and being able to do something useful and productive.
Your challenges are amazing - you are a bunch of inspiring people, and thankyou for allowing me to be a part of it.0
