Pastry made and resting in the fridge.

I braised some mince in the slow cooker yesterday for dinner with grated carrot, onion & celery - enough left over for a couple of plate pies for dinner tonight. I [STRIKE]couldn't resist[/STRIKE] invested in some of the enamel pie plates when they were on 3 for 2 in lakeland - just like the enamel wear my Nana used when I was a child and I baked with her.

My favourite pie is one she used to make - corned beef, mashed potato and onions all mashed together.....Hmmm I have left over mash...and i a tin of corned beef.... I feel more pastry may be needed!:D

    Morning everyone

I've been having a think about the kits and transporting them to SA...

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but I've just contacted Etihad Aiways. They are a UAE airline, but they fly from UK to J'Burg and are the official sponsors of Manchester City FC. So I've been cheeky and asked if they have access to any shirts and if they can help with the transport side of things. I will keep you posted if I hear anything.

This got me thinking....Manchester Utd are sponsored by Turkish Airways, and Arsenal are sponsored by Emirates (both fly to J'burg from the UK). Happy to drop them a line too if you think it's worth pursuing?

Are there any other airlines that a) sponsor UK football clubs and b)fly to J'burg??

Se, you're right, thats one of the things I've been lax on, I've been eating too many wheat products recently.

For the last couple of months I've been really strict on it, and it makes a big difference to my energy levels. Admittedly living in hotels currently and eating in restaurants all the time doesn't make it the easiest thing to stick to.

Contact as many people as possible it is better to have excess capacity than none at all I think this is a great idea.

Morning! Um, I think I joined after the 100 days general challenge, I didn't know about that :o

I'd set myself a 30 day challenge, following the blog .... and that 30 days ended last Saturday.

I have to report :o:o:o I sabotaged myself with old patterns - the aim was to establish a spiritual practice (specifically, listening to a meditation CD, possibly joining a meditation group).

What actually happened is that I never made time to do this .... I carried on working too hard at the practical bits of trying to get this house up and running (moved in mid-August) in the middle of seeing clients at home and having building work done so that I *can* see said clients. And that resulted in the final piece of the sabotage, where I got sick - I've been ill for half of those 30 days, with a bad cold thats left me totally drained of energy, I'm still spending whatever time I can either in bed or crashed out in an armchair ...

I'm really not sure where to go from here....

How could you start establishing spiritual practice now in your current situation? Even if it is just 15 minutes per day.

When it comes to stuff that needs to do. Choose every day the 3 most important things that would make the biggest difference in your life and give you a real sense of achievement. Then do those three things FIRST before anything else and perhaps using those 15 minute bursts.

I am moving houses on Friday if all goes well so lots of 15 minute bursts going on here  :rotfl:

Yes, I was going to suggest the 15 minutes bursts idea too. 15 minutes of doing "something" KC, if you feel up to it, and cater what you are doing to your energy levels at the time, then at least an hour of rest initially regardless of whether you feel you could continue on for another 15.....I think you're going to need to be strict with yourself on this one! ;)

Good luck with the house move Marru! I moved this weekend (into boyfriend's house which I already more or less lived in anyway - but still quite a bit of stuff to find space for!)
