Sounds good - if it helps I'll happy keep a spreedsheet for you and scan the fbook page for numbers and then if anyone is on here and not on facebook they can pm me their tally and maybe we could have an update every week?

I think we're looking at Daily updates - there's SO little time
And of course, I hadn't thought of those not on fb - heavens I've only been on there a couple of weeks :rotfl:

Happy to do daily...but don't want to tred on your toes but as someone mentioned near the top if people break it down it possible could be easier

    For example

    Tops
    3 - Youths
    1 - Adult S
    2 - Adult M
    0 - Adult L
    2 - Adult XL

    Then any extras eg

    8 * Shorts Youths
    3 * socks Adults

And then once imputted into the spreedsheet it would work its magic and we'd know how many tops we had and which sizes we could probably do more of.

Could update here and on facebook - has kits for kids got a twitter account?

I may be completely stupid when it comes to modern social networking sites :o But I think just quantity is all I could cope with, otherwise I'd have to get a spreadsheet organised..........:o:o;)

If we "post on the wall" (?) our name and number do you think that would help us keep tally? (I mean the number of shirts collected, not our matrix number dur, that's confidential isn't it? ;) ) Then if you get 2 more for example just post 2, not your new total.

And I could find a place for posting the running total?

(a bit like those thermometers outside churches?)

Are you maybe creating a rod for your own back?

What's the total estimate so far?

I don't know - I had one of the worse colds when I was in SA - admittedly I've not had one since (4 years now) but I felt ridculous having a cold with the heat - even if the locals were telling me to wear more clothes (I went out in their winter)

I may have also just accidently (in the sense I intended to but probably shouldn't iykwim) ordered something off the website Claire but just so you know that there is no rush at all as I know your not feeling 100%

Hope everyone else is having a good day :)

    Aww thankyou,

I took 10 parcels to the post office this afternoon :)

    Will post tomorrow

Possibly, but at the moment I have no idea how well we're doing (or not!) and at least this will make it feel like I'm actually doing something (rather than waiting for replies :( )

I'm thinking on really simple lines -
    1) people post on the wall (or get someone else to ) their name and total.
    2) I change the number at the side to read: 1/10,000 smiles (according to how many have been registered.)

Collecting them in different parts of the UK doesn't mean that we will actually receive them either.......it depends so much on the kindness of the donors :o
