Lovely to see you Pooh. How is your son doing?
I'm glad you're not clinically depressed but you're obviously having a tough time and are feeling very down. So very impressive that you lost 2.5 lbs and got sow.
Are you still enjoying knit and natter?

    Morning

Lovely and wise words from Verbatim, agree with her, re not being clinically depressed, but it's not surprising you are feeling down with all that's going on. Did the GP offer any support to you as the significant family member with two relatives struggling with depression?

Hope you are going to stick and natter?

Is there anupyone in person you can confide to? ( Apart from us here ) a problem shared as they say.....

Hugs and hoorah for weight loss xx

Hi everyone, Thank you for all your lovely replies. Thank you beanie,

Verbatim DS2 is doing a bit better now he is back on track with doctors and CPN. He was left by the wayside when a change of CPN should have taken place. Now he has someone visiting him again it is helping.

I haven't been to knit and natter much recently. I will try to get back next week. It will help seeing people.

Today I saw a different doctor about my cough and I have a chest infection. I am on antibiotics now which should help and we are all going to a cottage this weekend with Mr P's family. I am delegating a lot as I have been told to rest.

Bubblesmum DS2 has said he knows I write on here but he doesn't want me talking to anyone else so I am doing as requested.

plmbl I thought I might be but after answering the questions truthfully I am not which is a good thing. We really can't have another depressed person in the house :D

I think the rib problem with everything else hasn't helped matters. Going away with lovely people might be just what we all need.

Just checking in...so so sorry you're having such a tough time but relieved that you've got some positives too, both for yourself and DS. Hows your OH?

Hope you can start your crafty things again soon but do take it easy. Don't add to your pressure by forcing yourself to do too much, too fast.

    Hugs

Thanks Brizzled. I started making bags from lots of free fabric I have. I am thinking they would make good presents for family. All my great plans came to nothing so far but I still have time to catch up a bit.

I have to get back to sewing as it is when I am most relaxed. Probably The rib pain restricting what I could do has made me more stressed.

And I am delegating and will continue to do so :)

  • Agree with brizzledfw, delegation is good. Mums/wives tend to think they have to do everything, and it can be difficult to imagine other people doing things at all, let alone 'properly' !

Since my husband retired & is 'under my feet' all the time (!!), he has taken to doing some washing-up. I keep quiet about the way he does it - it might not be my way, but it gets done. I try to be appreciative rather than critical.

We had a lovely weekend with Mr P's sisters and some of their family. and our family too.

It was lovely and I was well looked after. I slept, kept warm and enjoyed some good company while I was feeling up to it. I didn't wash a dish, cook or clear up at all.
