we have all had 3 x reward bank accounts for almost a year now. hold £200 in a halifax savings and just move the money around every month on the same day. But all of a sudden they have all been blocked and we have to take ID into the branch, even though we opened them with ID to being with, are they cottoning on to giving the free fiver every month or is it just a coincidence?? Has this happened to anyone else recently??
I hope they're not smartening up to this

Am sorry but I don't agree with you.....
Thats ok alot of people don't!
If anything I would suggest that they have blocked access because the high number of online transactions in a short space of time has triggered a fraud alert. It must be 15 or 16 transfers to cycle £200 five times through 3 Reward accounts and back to the savings account.0 -

Exactly....on that we agree..0 -
This is their standard response when they think their is a possibility of fraud on the accounts.
Do as they ask and it will all be resolved.
Nothing to do with fivers.0 -
spoke to the advisor in the branch which I dealt with previously and just said to take in photo and address ID and payslip (and I cant go till saturday as it has to be a branch, and it has to be that branch and not an agency), she sounded quite nervy and I'm nervous what she may say, I definately havent broken any T&C have I?? The worse case is just paying back all the fivers they have given me??0

The fact you didn't actually pay a grand in, only 200 might not go in your favour lol
Fair play though, good scam0 -
Spoke to girl which I previously dealt with and now I have to go in on a week day with photo, address ID and proof of income to a branch not an agency, and it has to be her branch, annoying as I work weekdays!! She was quite nervy when I spoke to her and its making me all nervous now, whats the worse that can happen (pay all the money back??) I havent broken any T&C's have I??
Mum is going in today with my sister, if they find out that I have been moving all the money around for my mum-have I done anything wrong??0 -
