This is a very old thread - do not read old advice when (in England/Wales) we have not advised 'ignore' since early 2013!!!!!!!!!
Go to page one of the forum and read current threads instead, by clicking the breadcrumb trail blue link mentioned in my signature below.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

I got a ticket from these crooks once.
Although I had done nothing wrong (check my thread history if you want the details) they wanted £100 odd quid. When I told them I was not paying and to send me my POPLA code (at their expense) they changed their mind and sent me an email telling me that the charge had been dropped.
I would make a really poor excuse, get denied the appeal and go to POPLA costing them £30. Then ignore all future correspondence (bog paper)

You've bumped a thread from 15 months ago to say that, please delete your comment and place it in a new thread if you wish, but FYI we don't ever advise speaking to parking companies over the phoneWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Shame this thread is so old.
I researched and was told across the net do not take any notice of Parking Eye
I got scared when they sent me a court notice
I wrote to offer a part payment
They rejected it and demanded full payment court upheld it
I ended up with a CCJ on my credit history
I have since paid Parking eye and they have not replied to the court to confirm I have paid so I can't get the certificate of satisfaction
there is no number to call anywhere other than a payment line
their on line payment system does not list the claim number so I am now going to fail the tenancy referencing to rent an apartment as there is no way of proving I have paid this.
Completely been done by them0 -
shame that you ignored
this forum is more about fighting the PPC charges than help on CCJ's
there are many threads on having a CCJ overturned , it can be done .... and if this the path you take then please start a new thread for advice ........but it takes time
this forum may be a better help http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76
good luck

Second week of March this year I parked and bought 6 hours ticket for my car in a car park managed by parking eye, a week after I received a parking charge notice stating my arrival (17:51:23) and departure time (00:08:42). I made my ticket payment at 18:25 due to their ticket machine not accepting bank card or gives change, however they provided a 2hours free parking. According to their notice letter, my total time in car park was 6 hours 17minutes.
I immediately sent them a copy of my parking ticket and made an appear on their website, asking if they are charging me £100 for 17 minutes late out of the car park, because I paid £3.50 for 6hours as it stated on their parking notice board.
My question was not answer, was given POPLA appeal number instead. I refused to appeal, because I have to pay extra £20 to summit appeal to POPLA. Few weeks later, I received another letter with heading " LETTER BEFORE COUNTY COURT CLAIM".
So it looks like they are taking this minor case and my unanswered question into another serious level.
Need your suggestions and advise please.0 -
