Yes, or pay a £10 fee to make the time change plus any additional cost of the new ticket.

  • Can anyone help?

Trying to book 2 adults (one with student railcard):

    London Euston to Aberystwyth

Out Weds 2nd March, arriving at Aber at 13:25
    Back next day, departing 9:00ish

I got the jouney out down from £199.20 to £107.90 by buying separate tickets to Birmingham but can I do better?

These UCAS visit days are costing me so much money  trying to do it as MSE as possible!

    Using Advance Singles...

Dep Marylebone 07:14, arr Birmingham Moor Street 09:34. £8.30.
Walk to New Street... 10 minutes approx.
Dep New Street 10:24, arr Aberystwyth 13:25. £21.60.

Dep Aberystwyth 09:30, arr Birmingham New Street 12:26. £21.60.
Walk to Moor Street... 10 minutes approx.
Dep Moor Street 13:55, arr London Marylebone 15:53. £8.30.

So total return for two adults (with one railcard) = £59.80.

Remember, with Advance Singles you must travel on the booked trains.

    Info from Southern Railway's website.
  • Hiya

Wondering if any of you clever folks can save me a bit of money?

I want to travel to Stevenage to attend a party on March 5th.

So would like to travel on the 5th and get there in the afternoon and travel back to Newcastle on the 6th.

The cheapest I can get the tickets down to is about £66...can anybody get this down further? Is it likely the fares would go down if I waited a week or so? I noticed they have gone downsince they first went on sale at the start of January.

    Thanks all!
