I've reserved 2 in Wakefield Argos, but we've decided (that's me and mate, btw) not to proceed. Would prefer to have a fellow MSE'er get it/them so anyone who's interested and lives near Wakefield PM me for the reservation number.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

Thanks but the offer came too late for me. I got a dc14 zroom (allergy +car attachments) for £199 instead.

I decided that I would rather have the DC14 which has better suction and engine size, than the Balls easy manoueverability.

Thanks deano for this post. Esp about the 5 year guartuee I reg online,in the box it only mentions the two year guartuee which i would have thought that was all I was covered for.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

These were made before the guarantee changed :)

    Your Guarantee
All new Dyson vacuum cleaners purchased after 27th July 2006 now receive a Dyson 5 year guarantee. We’re certain it’s the only part of your Dyson you won’t put to good use. But if you do, just ask and we’ll try to fix the problem over the phone. If we can’t, we’ll aim to send a Dyson engineer to see you within 3 working days.

Thanks to the OP for this thread.. I bought one of these machines earlier today from the Argos at Cribbs Causeway (don't think they have any stock now though)..

I'm still getting used to the 'ball' as it is a bit weird.. Also, I'm really surprised the two see-thru buttons on the front of the Dyson don't light up.. You would have thought they would to show when you are using the brush control etc.. (unless mine is faulty ?)...

    Mark.
