Not a subject to be ridiculed or joked about - a crass comment to make IMO and you are just being stupid. It might be wise to consider that you may just be on the wrong flight at the wrong time one day.

I would suggest that if any member of your family had lost their life in a plane crash maybe you would have a different attitude, although reading some of your previous posts on here where you condemn anyone who does not conform to your way of thinking, then again, I think I may be incorrect in that assertion.

This from someone attempting to scare-monger people from flying with one of the most successful airlines in the world with a 100% safety record in airline fatalities simply because you have a personal grudge against its CEO.

Fact is millions of people every year think you are wrong to suggest that Ryanair is anything but safe - and suggesting that Irish aviation authorities are somehow less diligent than British ones shows how little you know about the industry apart from your ability to type the word Wikipedia into a search engine.

And that's a fact with no need for a spurious " I understand " to go with it.

Enjoy travelling on your high horse.;)

Now please show me on this thread where I have indicated I have a PERSONAL GRUDGE against MOL. Another incorrect assumption.

I have indicated that I do not fly Ryanair - nor do I fly with any EU loco carrier for that matter. I use legacy carriers who will get me to where I want to go and are on many occasions cheaper. That is fact, but I certainly have no 'personal grudge' against O'leary - and why would I? - I just don't use Ryanair!

Now as for the accusations of 'scaremongering', the incidents I highlighted were in response to the following from you :
    What, still no evidence ?
You're beginning to resemble the Inpsector Closeau of airline safety !:D
All well and good but you still haven't produced any evidence to suggest that Ryanair is anything but extremely safe.
I'm all for people having a whinge because they can't fit the kitchen sink into their on-board portmanteau but if you're going to suggest FR isn't up to scratch in the safety stakes at least back up your argument with some hard evidence old fruit.
Well, instead of simply snivelling why don't you provide evidence which compares FR's safety record with every other major airline ?
So what you're saying is that there is no evidence to prove that Rynair doesn't have an excellent safety record

    You asked!

Now, after providing evidence, (requested by you with monotonous regularity) you are now accusing me of scaremongering - are you now suggesting the incidents I have highlighted did not occur?

What I would like to do is thank everyone that uses the loco carriers as that maintains the competition to enable me to get my full service flights at a reasonable price.

As for 'flying on my high horse', maybe we could meet up in Thailand at Christmas - that is provided you are not too knackered after flying into KL loco airport and then to your Thai destination on cramped Air Asia Flights.

Me...well I will be upstairs 'flying my high horse' in the pointy end of a legacy carrier and I should arrive all nice and fresh.

    Enjoy your flights!

Explains what? - proving you wrong?

And another incorrect assumption - me a 'a snob' ??:rotfl:

No - as a frequent flyer I am just taking advantage of airlines FF points and using them for upgrades to business.

Not snobbish - just being prudent -Isn't what this site is all about?

... and a late result just coming in.

    Aircraft crashes involving fatalities

    BA 2 Ryanair 0. ;)

    I find that comment crass.

BA has had one fatal accident since it's formation in 1974, an incident for which BA was cleared of all blame, and a Yugoslav ATC officer was jailed.

Considering the amount of sectors flown it's a near impeccable record, one of the worlds best.

There is no need to be drawn into 'how many people have died flying x' match, it is tasteless.

There is one airline I won't fly due to safety issued, but it's not Ryanair who I don't need or want to fly.

Maybe focus on the positives that Ryanair have achieved, which are many.

Come on, you need a new thread if you're going to continue, :T
Ryanair - upgrades - business class  FF Points, getting off the point is more like it!

The point is Ryanair haven't killed anyone and they'll fly us around Europe & beyond for peanuts (unless you're so stupid you can't spell your own name or use a set of luggage scales). Works for me.

On Monday I 'road-test' Squeezyjet - watch this space.

So you deem that anyone who takes advantage of FF points and uses them to upgrade is a 'wannabe snob'?

You can doss on your no frills airlines if you wish - that is your choice -personally, I avoid them as do many people - that is my choice but making peurile and snide remarks because I use a legacy carrier is pathetic.

The reality is that I have shot down your assertions on this thread in flames so you have to resort to personal attacks which is sad.

For someone with a username like yours - nobody takes you seriously anyway - old fruit.

Time to close this thread I reckon!

    Agree entirely with you Bob.
    And so do many others.
71.6 million actually - the number of people Ryanair carried over the 12 months up to the end of last month.
Now, let's see - would those 71.6 million passengers be right or some numpty on here with a point to prove ?
    Case closed.
