I have it in writing today that he has sent to paragon that I will accept te 9k subject to his fees being paid. It states I will recieve 9k without deductions.
The letter from paragon was sent on 29th July. That is disgusting that they have held it for this long and done nothing! Dont think they realise how much this money means to me. they probable earn more than that in a week!

Was just browsing the forum - haven't been on here for AGES - and saw your thread re; Paragon and Petermb.

I had a loan with a BIG PPI amount that I took out in 2003 and have, so far, been unsuccessful in reclaiming any money back from them - its all very complex and long-winded. Peter Bottomley (Petermb) promised me the earth and guaranteed that he could reclaim all the money back. On that basis, I forwarded him copies of all documents, correspondence, etc. That was in 2009. Guess what? Nothing happened!!

Peter is full of s**t!! When I spoke to him on the phone, it became clear that he was so far up himself and yet didn't know what he was talking about! I started to question him and his approach and he then blamed the solicitors that he was working with (Loan Reclaimers) and that he was going to ditch them and was now in discussions with an all-new-and-improved outfit who would definately get a result for me. Well, no surprise, but nothing happened. His delaying tactics meant that I went over the 6 year deadline and the possibility of a reclaim became non-existent. He stopped replying to emails, his phone number was no longer recognised and didn't respond to pm's sent on this forum.

However, I have now have reason to believe that he actually might have reclaimed some money on my behalf, but that he did not give it to me and kept it for himself. I am investigating this possibility just now and will report back as soon as I know more.

In the meantime, avoid Peter Bottomley like the plague, as he is a Walter Mitty type who is just looking to make money from vulnerable people.
