That is really good to read as I dont think I have had any information from him about anything AT ALL. I have no clue what he is doing.
I am going to print that off and start keeping full records of everything that has (or has not) been done.

Pammyj74, does the offer have any timescale in which you can accept or reject? I know you say this was made in July but time is moving on and sometimes a bank can withdraw it depending on whether its goodwill or acceptance of misselling PPI.... I assume that your original claim was something more than just PPI?
What does the offer say they are paying out for? Have they now sent it to your solicitors perhaps and they have hold of it or did your solicitor definately reject the claim and hold out for more?
Really and truely you need to get this sorted soon as the bank can close the case maybe if you have not responded. Did you sign anything with the solictor for them to speak to the bank on your behalf also? This seems so strange.0 -
It states in my letter from paragon that this is a goodwill and final offer as they deny any liability. If I do not accept the offer than I can consider this their final response. They say I can refer my complaint to FOS and I have 6 months of the letter to do so (dated 14th July 2010)
The offer was made on 12th May so I am not sure whether it is 6 months from that or the last letter. If its from the offer date then that is 12th November!! It does state 6 months from this letter which as I say is dated July.
I am not sure what I have signed as I had to sign a few things right at the beginning which was two years ago but I may have had to re-sign when he changed solicitors.
I cannot get hold of peter on the number I previously had now and both number on Peters websites are now no longer recognised. Now I feel really sick
Guys mobile still has his message on it.
I think I need to ring Paragon and find out what has happened and if they have been accepted. They would need both signitrures from myself and my ex but that can easily be forged I suppose.
RL is part of SRA though? But I might have to double check that with them maybe.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Right I have spoken to Paragon and they say that they have reoffered me 9k back in August and they have sent Guy 3 letters and had absolutely no response from him. They say the offer is open and has no time limit, it is just the complaint that has a time limit with FOS.
I am very willing to accept the 9k (of course!!!) but I am wondering where I stand if RL come back to me with costs etc. The guy at paragon says that he shouldnt have much hope of reclaiming anything back in a court of law as he is has not acted in my best interest all the way through really. Do I report him to SRA to cover my back or do nothing and see if he gets in touch?
I am really not sure what to do for the best regarding RL. Whether to just ignore it now and deal with paragon. He is sending me the revised offer over today.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hi Pammyj74, who told you that you were expecting £20K back? Was this just for a PPI claim as I know that Peter used to say he was claiming other things back and that the costs would be recovered etc...0

Are paragon willing to pay you direct? If so I would accept and then if you get chased by these solicitors you would then ask them to prove their work to you? I don't know what you have actually signed with them TBH but if you are happy then accept the offer maybe. It is entirely up to you as you know.Right I have spoken to Paragon and they say that they have reoffered me 9k back in August and they have sent Guy 3 letters and had absolutely no response from him. The whole PPI plus interest and compensation basically. But when i paid it off they say that some of the ppi was refunded back. I am quite happy with 9k.
I had 3 loans and one on its on was 11k ppi
Peter did give me a load of bumph that I could claim compensation etc. and I had high expectations but I would be glad to get what they have offered me as its a lot of money to me.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Just out of interest has anyone heard from or dealt with peter lately on any other claim? I take it that his business is no longer working if the phone numbers are not in action. I even tried to contact him through skype!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

have you checked the claims management register to see if he has been deauthorised?
if he has then he cant come after you for any money.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
