Using your normal screenings link, sign in and on the next page you will see 'retrieve' amongst other options. You can get your ticket there.

People giving it a low score, did you like "Hangover"?0

Okay, just got back from the Slackers Club screening of Burke and Hare. Haven't had the chance to go to a screening in quite a while. I missed the first 5 minutes or so (feet couldn't go any faster - walked miles to get there), but I'm so glad I went. I liked how it was done.
I kept seeing flashes of Gollum when I first saw Andy Serkis on screen, but that soon faded and he absolutely drew me in with his Irish accent. He's a brilliant actor.
I liked 'Spaced' and so know that Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes work well on screen together.
Tim Curry and Christopher Lee perfected their Scottish accents, but I'm afraid that I can't say the same for Isla Fisher, but she did okay despite that.
Ronnie Corbett was quite funny in his little uniform.
Overall, good stuff.Invented tradition: Couponology

I just loved the Hangover. What a fantastically hilarious movie. Watched it in the first round of previews. Didn't want to watch it this time round in order to preserve that 'gloss' of humour I derived from it the first time I watched it.Invented tradition: Couponology

Going back to Burke and Hare. I've mentioned the characters, but the star of the show was the Edinburgh setting. It was someone else's post on another website that made me realise what it was I liked about it so much. Edinburgh is my favourite city, and I can actually inhale the atmosphere when I see it represented on screen. There's just something about the place I find absolutely spellbinding.Invented tradition: Couponology

I spent some time constructing my review to entice you and torment you and what happened when I got home? You made it to the screening :rotfl:
I was told after the film that a few people walked out of the Liverpool screening. I wonder if they demanded their free money back!;):p Well I enjoyed it. Admittedly it didn't have me crying with laughter but it was a damn sight better than some recent 'comedies'.
Sorry, that posted itself! <imagine angry smiley here>
I loved the mix of actors that appeared in it and have to admit that I didn't even recognise Bill Bailey! Ronnie Corbett's first appearance got a great response from the Liverpool crowd and I loved 'The Militia'. fantastic.
Hasn't Andy Serkis got a great face? It's great to see him acting as a human being and I do hope he continues, his cgi roles have rather over shadowed his career.
I think John Landis did a fine job of keeping it light-hearted and funny whilst still telling the 'true' story of how Burke and Hare were in actual fact murderers and not just grave robbers but included the conspiracy that kept the medical profession out of the hangman's noose.
For those who are thinking of going to see it, please don't leg it out of the cinema the second the credits come on, or else you will miss some very interesting titbits.
Have you been to the museum Tibbs and is that exhibit really on show?0 -
