Sorry hun, thought you would have guessed I was only joking :) I'll put more lol's and :rotfl:next time :)

I've had it for ages now lol, i even beat you to getting it :P got it about 150 posts ago lol. but thanks :)

Have you? To be perfectly honest and I'm not out to insult anybody but the amount of posts made and the levels reached when posting on a forum, don't interest me in the least. I only noticed your medals because you mentioned mine. I realise that to a great many people it means something and that's your prerogative. My opinion applies to me only and nobody else's post count.:)

You've gotta admire the people with all 5 medals.... that's a heck of a lot of posts lol. i did wonder what post stages the medals were dished out then the next day i had the third one, was quite surprised lol.

I'd rather rate people on thanks than medals. although a lot of posts go unthanked by people who use the info. manners i guess :)

What the heck is going on in the codes only thread today??

Yet again - Mama Mia in the Diet Coke Festival!!

Non film info - i.e. Darius and the Big Band show Info I posted in the correct thread yesterday!

The Walking Dead info duplicate of a post made on 22/10!

    Why????

This is why we need a dedicated Board Guide who has responsibility for the Cinema threads and maybe the show/concert threads too. It's all well and good saying that the BG's don't have time to read every post and that we should contact them when something needs doing. Then have more Board Guides who will concentrate on particular ares of interest!

This forum is fabulous but it is far too large and unwieldy to be run by so few volunteers.

That's my two pennyworth and I realise I've now shot myself in the foot but I've kept my big scouse gob shut for long enough. It's no good everybody muttering to each other in pms etc, it needs to be said in plain English in plain sight of the Board Guides and the people who are paid to run M.S.E.

That was me. I'm so, so, so, so, so, so sorry to have inconvenienced anyone. I was trying to contribute to a thread that I've gained so much from. I've already had the PM from the baord police, so in future I'll just sit back and take, take, take.

My first, I think, and definitely last, post on that thread.

Take, Take, Take is one thing. Posting the info on the correct board is another.

I must say that when I saw it was you who had posted, I was suprised. You are around here a lot as a long standing member, so you will have seen the moans and groans from people who only want to receive alerts for films codes. The regular complaints about having to pay to log on etc. So why give yourself grief? I understand that there will be some individuals who won't have seen the original post but on a forum like this, the majority have to be pandered to whether we like it or not.

From the little I've seen, many of the people who have all five medals contribute a great deal of information, time and effort and I applaud them:T I honestly don't know where they get the time tbh. Members like that are the backbone of all public forum.

I have mixed feelings about the 'thanks' button. It's a good idea when the alternative is pages of 'thank you' messages in a thread. However, some people hit the button to thank people who post chat in the codes only for example! I don't understand that at all.

The main thing is that people post and continue to do so.

In all honesty? Because I got the email, was in a rush to get ready for work, and posted it. It was a mistake, not a deliberate breaking of the rules. I'm sorry.

You were trying to help, don't worry about it :)

Next time, you'll be like me and check, check and double check again so as not to feel the wrath :rotfl::rotfl:

.....and tbh even the most regular code posters are not immune to the odd dupe every now and again and if people didn't post most of us wouldn't get any tickets.

I do it now and again, I'm the first to admit it, and have even started coming on here to apoligising for doing it! lol

Have to also say the search doesnt always work

Genuine mistakes are made, we'll get over it :)

I think most of are moans are aimed at the very blatant chat, but even that is down to eduction that chat threads even exist

I've posed a question to the site to ask if I can have a link to this chat thread in my signature. Board Guides can have MSE links in theirs, why cant we?
  • Everyone's opinion and post is important on the board. We all love films, and as long as that's at our focus, then we're on the right track. The board is strengthened by different viewpoints. If a post is in the wrong place, it will be eventually guided to the right place, but it is the intention of the poster that will be most respected - trying to help others. That is an admirable trait, and it is that which needs to be preserved. Don't worry if the post is moved, just know that your post was well intended.
