Does anyone know if there is going to be more tickets available for Coriolanus in London ? Hopefully, it'll be like the movie "The Help".
Tks ! Have a good day everyone :-)0 -
Always nice to see a new member. We never really know whether more tickets are going to be released. Best to keep checking, have you joined the codes only forum too? Sign up for alerts and make sure you check each one when you receive it else they stop sending them to you0

While we all slept, someone opened the flood gates.
By the time even those within the industry had 'woken up' to what had happened, it was already too late.
What I found very telling was the fact that every one of them around the table at 2am in the morning (Moore, Spacey, Irons, Bettany etc) knew what their actions would lead to......
Their faces, the silence, the ashen expressions I found far more powerful than histrionics and screaming matches.
The funny but sick fact that most of them didn't even understand what on earth they were doing..... and this was at board level !!!
"Speak to me like a small child or a golden retriever..." said Irons
No one appeared to have ANY financial or economic qualification/knowledge. The excuse being "its just numbers"
Yet despite all their reservations, their horror, taking action which was a total anathama to the way they had conducted business for decades, when million dollar cheques were waved...... they all did exactly what was asked of them....
Spacey brilliantly built a character who at the end we felt some sympathy for, but when you actually analysed what he did.....he was a culpable as the rest. He could cry for his pet, but didn't bat an eyelid when colleagues where fired.
They were ALL prepared to sell their family and friends down the river, for another cheque.
Bettany (and presume the rest) were phoning 'friends' around the world to sell them the a mulit-million dollar 'bargain of a lifetime' - knowing full well they were to all intent completely worthless....
I found the film excellent and very thought provoking.... the tension was so acute for whole portions of the film that I actually expected someone to be bumped off.
Definitely a 9 out of 10 from me - and dd thoroughly enjoyed it as well, and managed to follow the whole storyline, which I had feared may have gone over her head, but not so.
Excellent start to 2012.... and War horse on Sunday;)
Agree with most of what you say, but still found the ending a let down, as did the majority of the cinema, so I wasn't alone. Yes, it was a portrait of 24 hours in the Finance Industry, just not very entertaining when it comes to a 'Movie'....Beginning, Middle, Ending....without the ending! I just wish a little bit more of the 'aftermath' could have been portrayed, if only for 'entertainment' purposes.makinprogress0 -
I think most people are acting out the 'aftermath' now, look around at people who's pension pot has shrunk or stocks and shares ISA's fell heavily, people who's jobs have disappeared due to the economic downturn/recession!
Maybe they didn't think that bit needed to be acted out as we are already part of the cast!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

What you don't mention is that the screenings involve a Q&A, not just the film.0 -

The same SHAME screening with Q&A is being offered at several Showcase Cinemas (by Showcase themselves) through their INSIDER membership for £4.50
