I was one of those who got up and left in the credits, although I did wait to see the Sam Childers picture, but I could quite easily have got up and left at about 30mins into the film. I thought the film was incredibly slow and boring. The film itself could have been so much more, it could and should have gone into Sam Childers life before going to Africa a lot more, I didnt even realise he dealt drugs as well as took them as the film really didn't depict how "off the rails" he was. Also once in Africa I just felt it didn't follow a particular path, it was too much here and there, I wanted to see how and when they get attacked, and then the aftermath in one sequence, where as it seemed to flit to different parts of attack and then later you see a bit of the aftermath. All in all, of course it made me much more aware of how terrible it must be for them in Africa but the film just didn't do it for me. I will read his book instead to see exactly what parts were truths.

Maybe I'm too sentimental & I'm passionate about the reality of some people's life less fortunate than us... I think his life prior to going to Africa apart from being the starting point of this whole human adventure is not the most important part... if you want an entertaining film on drug dealing etc there are plenty around!! Do read the book, it will help his charity.

Does anyone know why there are no timings to the film 'Trespass' on sky rewards?

The ticket says to see the cinema website for timings. These will vary from cinema to cinema I would presume.

Because they are free tickets to any screening of the film at your local cinema for the day you choose!

Not a special Sky screening with a set time!

You get to choose when you go!

Also states that you have to exchange the ticket at the box office when you get there for your real tickets for the performance, so make sure you arrive in time to get the tickets for the performance of your choice!:)

I didn't mean I wanted a whole film about drug dealing, I meant that I think it was important to show his life before helping the children, I just thought there should have been a bit of balance. As I said I did want to see more about how they are attacked etc. Anyway everyone sees things differently. I will read the book though as they tend to be better than the films anyway and Id rather read the truth rather than want a director thinks will look good.

The film is out on general release and you are going to those screenings. Screening times will vary according to cinema chain and individual cinema, there will be no set time even when the times are published by the various chains. You just pick the time you want from the soon to be published lists, for the day you picked on sky, and compete with paying customers for the seats.

Can a Board Guide delete post number 33 posted by hecticc in Codes Only today please.

It is yet another duplicated code but it also contains erroneous information as several of the cinemas have cancelled their screenings as discussed in this thread when the code was originally posted on October 28th as people like myself received emails advising of the cancellation.

BTW hecticc, will you please learn how to use the search facility instead of lifting information from another forum.
  • Maybe it's just me but when I signed up for the codes only emails to cinemas, I got maybe one or two and then it just stopped! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If so does anyone know how to go about resolving it? I find myself having to visit the MSE forums instead quite a few times per day grrrr!
  • Hey,

    Yep, I get that occasionally.

Best fix I found was going back to the thread, selecting thread tools and then unsubscribing from the thread. Then, thread tools again, subscribe again and pick your desired option (I use instant e-mail notification).

When I find they stop, I just redo this process. Or sometimes even at the start of the week, just to make sure.

    Hope this helps!

    Graham.
