Did anyone go to Shepherd Bush cinema for POTA?
How packed was the cinema and were the seats full before 10am? Been a while I've been to free screenings so I'd like to prepare myself next time. Seems you have to be there 45 minutes earlier if you want to sit with your family.0 -

Oh poor you.:( Bet you are really annoyed and disappointed.
This is one of my fears.
Even on Saturday I read and re-read the details about 6 times to make sure I had the right date, right time and right cinema.
I had been wanting tickets for Sunday, but they had all been snapped up so quickly.... so for some reason "Sunday" stuck in my mind.
I have gone to the wrong cinema before!
Fortunately we had got there so early we were able to dash off to the correct cinema and still get seats.
We laugh about it now, but at the time....:p0 -
does anyone know when any more free tickets for Odeon Manchester will be available?

This morning's screening was sadly abandoned due to technical difficulties0

Thanks for the tip! We stayed in our seats after the movie finished. Some people have already walked out of the screen. It was a great movie. Loved it!!0 -
I also loved Rise of the Planet of the Apes although I found the cruelty inflicted on the Apes difficult to stomach. I had to apologise to one of my friends if my squirming in my seat disturbed his viewing of this superb film.
And for those who have yet to see it, stay in your seats after the little film partway into the credits as the next part is an interesting and innovative way of leading into any future sequel.
I couldn't believe the behaviour of two people who came in less than 10 minutes after film started, stood on stairs looking for seats then walked out again never to return!! !!!!!! was that all about? Apart from the four seats to my left on our row, there were other seats available. All I can think is that they went to ask for usher to maybe move people and seat them in a particular area and were told no! Don't understand why they didn't go to other stairs where they would have been able to access some of the free seats as it was by no means full and they would have been able to sit together without asking people to move to accommodate them! Very peculiar behaviour!
Unless they had wandered into the wrong film but they did seem to be hunting for seats rather than realising they had gone into wrong screen.:(0 -
I saw this today at odeon rochdale when i arrived at the cinema it wasn't open and didn't open until about 10:10 by this time there was a big que forming they then started to collect people tickets and didn't ask for i'.d or the page from the paper which was good as i didn't have it! the cinema was about 90% full and the film didn't start until 10:40 which was a bit delayed but overall the was very good i would give it 9/10 as the film was very good better than expected and the cgi was brilliant!
Well worth getting up for on a sunday morning!0 -

Maybe they were looking for 'friends' rather than for seats.
I am always amazed by the number of people who wander in at the last minute when there are only a few seats left at the very front......
But they are piled high with drinks and popcorn and nachos etc.
They obviously arrived in plenty of time, but went straight to get their refreshments before they got a seat.
I must assume they are new to the concept of the free preview, as having a ticket does not seem to guarantee a seat these days. Therefore you need to get there early and get your seat.0 -
At a recent screening that we were turned away from (were allowed to watch HP instead) while we were outside waiting to see if there were enough seats 2 people came wandering up with snacks and went in, then came out again, lol!
They'd been in once and for some reason both left to get their snacks!!!!! Obviously when they went back in their seats were long gone, lol!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
