And the first people to complain will be those turned away from any FULL screening where tickets have been used "illegally" when they themselves have "the genuine article" - blaming the distributor for issuing too many or the cinema for not using a bigger auditorium !

As for needing pages from magazines and newspapers (or some other such validation), I seen several occasions where people have been turned away and they have NOT gained entrance.

Similarly I've witnessed ID checks, perhaps only 2% or 3% of the time (that's once every 33 to 50 screenings) BUT they DO HAPPEN. (And I'm NOT referring to Virgin/Sky etc.)

A few times the name on the ticket printout doesn't match any ID that can be produced by its redeemer, BUT MORE frequently they cannot produce ANY ID AT ALL :rotfl:
How stupid is that. Instructions and T&Cs are clear enough

I'm in York and had quite a few checks to see that I had the relevant page from the paper, usually with Guardian screenings. Those who don't have the page have been turned away.
I'm must have been to over 100 previews now and have never had my ID checked though, and that probably includes 10 Sky screenings.

im actually not going because i didnt get to the shop in time, if i could drive then i would probably risk it but atm its not worth the double bus fare incase of getting turned away.

Cardiff was way over booked tonight for Super 8 - this was the first time I had been turned away for a movie that was full way before the start time.

Next time will have to be there much more early

In contrast Norwich had quite a few seats left this time!

Loved the movie, remembered to wait for the little movie at the end, people were pushing past looking at me as if to say why aren't you leaving, lol! Then the mini stampede as peeps realised they were missing the film during the credits!:rotfl:

I give up! I could have posted on codes only. The idea was to send a pm Loz rather than yet more email alerts going out!

I was in the Odeon in Cardiff to watch Super 8 and it wasn't full - probably about 75-80% full which I found surprising - not sure why you got turned away.
