This happened @ Odeon Bromborough too. Small screenroom meant several people including some friends were turned away. I was one of the lucky ones who saw it :-)0 -

People where turned away at Glasgow as well for Captain America...If your going to see it, stay to the very end of the credits, it's worth the wait.0

I think it's got more to do with idiots faking tickets than oversubscribing, I heard the manager (I think it was the manager) in Edinburgh saying that they will have to start checking individual ticket codes and barcodes.
At one point a group of 12 walked in. I doubt they all had genuine tickets somehow.0 -

That's rubbish! Really good of them to let you see another film though.
Did you go to the Virgin screenings of Transformers and Super 8 at Norwich? I thought they were going to be packed but both times the screening was only half full! :huh:0 -
We made it to Transformers(my hubby and daughter went) but not Super 8 as I couldn't get tickets. But we have got tickets since to go on 2nd August to see Super 8 with Radio Times.
My hubby and daughter went to the Sky Harry Potter red carpet event and there were seats not taken for that one!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
