Brownie points for Vue Cribbs Causeway - everyone has free popcorn for the No Strings Attached showing. Small screen but there are about 35 seats still empty. 14 mins to go.
  • no popcorn at portsmouth just a greeter who held door open. Some funny bits, pleasant film to while a way a few hours. Good one to see on valentines day.

  • Was really looking forward to True Grit @ Vue, Leicester Square tonight and was there fairly early (18.15), but about 30 (+?) of us were turned away, because the screening was so overbooked.

I know the ticket specifies 'First come, first serve', but how can they allocate so many extra tickets? Especially since it's not the kind of movie many people will pass up on.

I watched Never Let Me Go, on Monday, what a slow movie!

Did enjoy Animal Kingdom, last night.

To be fair, it's not the cinema's fault, is it? THe more people rant at them, the less likely they are to go through the hassle of hosting these events. We KNOW it's first come, first served, so we have to make the effort to get there early, or accept that we might have to fork out some cash and pay to see a different film instead if we're deawd set on the cinema.

They allocate so many extra tickets because so many people book them and then don't go.

Totally agree... But SFF is definitely at fault here, as releasing more tickets than spaces, is always going to make some people "late", regardless of how early they are..

Hope its a simple error on SFF's part, and doesn’t happen again
