Watched The Social Network today. Absolutely hated it. Not a good word to say about it, so I won't elaborate. I agree with the earlier comment about it - boring. I'll add that it was tedious and sad (in the get-a-life sense).

This is despite really looking forward to watching the movie. I should have stayed in bed. The only one good thing about it was that I didn't have to pay to see it. Would I recommend it - well, I'll leave that for you to decide...

Timberlake's acting is so wooden - he should 'stick' to music (not that I'm a fan of his music either).

Really?? I thought it was a fascinating insight into this strange young man who people know so little about.

I also knew very little about the person Timberlake plays but it surprised me that he has a financial share in FB whilst doing sod all to deserve it. But I suppose that's business.

I've seen far flatter 3D films GB. Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore was a compete waste of 3D effects and the other films I always refer to has gone straight out of my head!! It was a remake. The name of which escapes me but it had mythological monsters in it. Grrrrrr

Will somebody put me out of my mysery please? Either by supplying name of film or else just shoot me :A

Wracked brain (what llittle is left) and remembered it was Clash of the Titans. The worst 3D film ever. The lack of special effects ruined it for me.

As the title says this is off topic but I just wanted to share my surprise. I've just read a news item saying that a man called Soloman Burke died, apparantly he was a soul singer and with apologies to any of his fans I've never heard of him but I do know some of his work. But I almost fell off the settee when I read that he leaves behind 21 children  and 90 grandchildren!!

    Obviously didn't watch tele much!:rotfl:

Sean Parker ( the character Timberlake played) was the co-founder
of Napster he believed in Facebook from the start and had the sort
of contacts that Mark Zuckerberg did not have,he introduced Mark to Peter Thiel the co-founder of Paypal and got Thiel to invest 500,000 in Facebook. If it wasnt for Parkers introduction to Thiel Facebook might not be what it is today as Mark did not have those sort of contacts,he also got Mark to drop the word the and just call it Facebook,he played a very very important part in making Facebook what it is today hence the reason for his financial share.
Mark recently said that 'there are few cleverer people that Sean'
he clearly knows that without Parker none of this might have happened for him.

Yes, I know, I have already seen the film. However, as lots of other people don't see it until later this week, I didn't like to say anything in detail so as not to spoil it for people yet to see it. :( And that isn't how it comes across in the film.

to deserve his share when he played such an important part.

I'd never heard of him either. I'm surprised he had time to sing given he must have been so busy sowing his oats. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't want to go into detail because it isn't fair to those still to see the film but in comparison to his initial backer, he did very little. He jumped in and reaped benefits that I feel he didn't deserve and after all he isn't a part nowadays either but I think he still has a percentage in the company. 'Sod all' was maybe a little harsh but suggesting dropping the word 'the' doesn't justify the amount of his financial gain although he did have connections of course.
