[STRIKE]Sweep and mop the floor[/STRIKE] After a glass of coke went off the side this was very necessary!
    [STRIKE]Clear[/STRIKE] and wipe worksurfaces
    Shine the sink!
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe fronts of appliances and units[/STRIKE] Again, pleased I didn't do this before the glass/coke incident!
[STRIKE]Make a cupboard inventory.. and a list of stuff to stock up on.. make sure you winter survival kit is sorted.. candles, matches, medicines etc... and your car too.. first aid box, blankets.. you never know when you may need them![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe table and replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Clear and wipe tops of wall units.. only if safe for you to do so!!!!!!!
Clean out all the drawers.. they are full of what?!
    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Empty and wash out bins[/STRIKE] Cleaned out recycling bins - these are being put to another use as we now have a new bin system.
    2. Sort through mugs and crockery.. fling the cracked and chipped bacteria breeding grounds!
    3. wash windows
    4. Wipe/defluff blinds/curtains etc
Have also sorted the bin area in the garden, sorted the compost bin and looked at what can be flung from the garden. One of our old recycling boxes is becoming outdoor toy storage. The other two are for tomatoes next year. Dustbins will be used for growing potatoes.

I feel like I've hardly achieved a thing...it was all so time consuming. :(.

Think it's THAT time of year again...

    Take care

Me: ??? you've seen what advertised?
    Mum: The wrestling!!!

Well I live very close to the uni and I'd offer a free cuppa but we are away to OH's mums for the squeakend.
Knitters? - I have booked a free knitting session at JL to remind me how to knit, I only ever reached a very basic level. If I want to knit a snood would I need a ring thing and is that too advanced?.

Possibly.. I hate round needles, but I also hate having more than about 70 sts on my needle..

I slept for 3 HOURS this afternoon!!!!! As a result I got nothing at all done.. again. I have just loaded the wm and td and dw is on.. need to do food as the girlies have dance tonight :D

  • I have done the washing up so I could clear the counters! I have cleaned the work surfaces and am quite wiped out. Today is my day off work and I have a stinking cold. So I am having a rest now and drinking lemon and honey. Then I will go pick husband up from work. Then hopefully will carry on with level one. I am a slow tortoise today. But I am enjoying the challenges and reading all the chat! Thank you.

Dusty Kitten - I don't think knitting in the round is difficult (I prefer it to knitting flat but like double pointed needles best) but I would do it as a second project rather than a first project. Are you aware of www.ravelry.com? It is an online knitting and crochet community - and it is amazing.

    .
Knitting in the round's quite simple really. If you've knitted before you'll probably pick it up again quite quickly. Not sure about the snood being to complicated. You should be ok if you pick the right stitch. I'm sure you'll get a lot of help at the knitting session. Hope it goes well for you. I love knitting :)

    Afternoon all,

I've just about done my dailies and have painted the skirting boards for Ds2's room. The rest of the day has been spent mooching around the shops with neveah and then going for lunch with Lisa as well. I haven't got much achieved but i've had a lovely day. We're having freezer surprise for tea so i'm just microwaving that now for the boys and OH, i'm still stuffed from lunch.

I suppose i'd better get something done today so i'm going to do a HHC at 5.30 if anyone wants to join me?

    afternoon everyone
its been a lovely day here - warm in the sun but a chilly wind in the shade.
MY friend C took me out for the day - we had morning coffee at her sister's then to Pitlochry Golf Club for lunch - I thought it might be a bit snobby but was lovely food and very friendly staff - then we had a wee wander around the shops. I am tired now but will try to keep myself from napping so I might sleep better than I have been.

    Do poop patrol.

delicious but it wont ever be that unpleasant again because now you will keep on top of it:D
hex well done for tackling the paperwork - remember you have mine to do as well:D
Winchelsea - I think your friends are right - everyday is a lot - it wont mean that you love DH any the less by only going every 2nd day it will mean that you are not wearing yourself out!!!! I am sure Dh would agree if he could. In case I forget or dont see you - have a lovely few days away and try to relax - it will be a good time to start the new routine when you come back - you have a big responsibility with him in the home and nobody will think any the less of you (((hugs)))
MissH good luck vibes to DD for tomorrow and calming vibes for you x
Dusty I wouldprefer double ended needles than the ring thing as you call it! or you could have a seam in it?
Aunty Crafty sorry honey I missed that you had the funeral today - hope it went as well as these can - has the roofer appeared?
hedgesparrow thanks for the link - I had it and deleted by mistake and couldnt for the life of me remember the name!
wilf honey there have been some brilliant ideas for fundraising - you should nip back thro the thread and note them down so you have some reminders - there are ideas that you could try all year - and if we can help expand any particular idea please shout - its great to see a youngster with talent getting the chance to furhter his dream - our council do sports grants and schemes - have you tried yours? good luck xx

better go get washing in and do something for tea - although I am still stuffed!

then I have ebays to wrap.

you have been an industrious lot and I am quite envious -I wish i was up to doing more.

    toots xx

BTW for the new fylers doing the tops of wall cupboards for maybe the first time - once you have them clean - use Valli's idea of laying clean newspaper on them - it absorbs the dirt/grease etc and the next time you will just have to replace it and wipe around the edges - job done in a fraction of the time!!
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

So since 3.00pm I've cut the grass in the back garden. Bit wet to do it. But, I'm doggy sitting Little Bruv's puppy next week and I can't have two to clear up after when the grass is so long.
Also swept the driveway, sorted and put out the recycling and nearly done dinner. So not too bad all in all!
