Vanilla - poor you. What a horrible day you have had. Hope tommorrow is 100 times better for you.
I have finished level one and done the changing the cloth and wiping the table down business. I also picked up my husband, picked up my car from the garage, put a load of laundry on, have cooked dinner and done a little food shopping. I feel I have had a fairly productive day, and am going to stop housework now for the evening as I am sneezing as I type. Thank you for making my first day on this thread so fun! It means that people who are just under the £44k limit at the moment and got a small pay rise would not only start paying higher rate tax but would also loose their child benefit so a regular inflation increase would make them much worse off
It makes me mad  I do some work advising people on their benefit entitlement and this tinkering will make our job much harder. Why base it on your tax level at all - just combine tax credits and child benefit - if a family earns below £44k they get child benefiit, if not they don;tEasy (but clearly too difficlut for Smug Osborne's little brain). And this is the end of tonight's Party Political
And breathe .............. had a long day at work; prepared, served and cleared tonight's tea; prepared tomorrow's tea; done urgent admin. I'm now pooped, so am going to browse here, then have an early night with a hot chocolate

Mudbath Oh no poor stripey babes - I do hope its not the pin and just some silly strain - give her a huge squishy hug from auntie toots xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and tell her to be a good stripes and rest:rotfl: that will be a first!
pavlovs_dog sssshhhhh if its not on this week's kitchen list then we wont see it until next week now - it is normally on the list!!!
vanilla oh honey what a rotten day you have had - you really need some support through this - I hope the head will sort out DD's bully - if not I would be trying to go higher - board or education authority?
As for DS first stop GP and have him checked out and as you say check his glasses - if a 6yo is talking of killing himself then something is not right - keep pushing until you get him sorted - and i would be asking at the school why you were not told about this on friday - if you hadnt wrung would they have told you? as you know I have no kids but I do know kids say silly things but I would have thought saying he wants to kill himslef is not your average 6yo talk! surely the teacher must have found it strange!
I hope with all my heart that you get the support from the GP - and be sure to tell the GP how it is affecting you - you have a huge plateful of problems with DH as it is so no wonder you shed some tears - you are amazing how you cope but even you have a breaking point so look after yourself as well - we are here if we can help at all or you just need to let off steam. HUg squishy (((hugs))) and a mug of hot tea and a choccy biscuit coming your way xxxx
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Thanks everyone for the hugs and support. I thought it was strange to toots that nobody said to me on friday or even this morning as i leave the kids into school and be at the door to collect them. They have the house phone number as well as my mobile.
I rang the opticians and she wants to check that the lens are right and then retest him. Then he's booked at the GP to see if he still has the sore throat and hopefully that end will be sorted.
I'll be speaking to DD's teacher tomorrow morning and hopefully that will cool down and if not i'll keep my record and go in again stating that if it doesn't stop i'll have to go above her head.
Sorry everyone for going on and i know it's nothing to do with flying. I'm just all over the place, i just want peace. Think it's time i went to bed. Nite all xxxSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Dusty - what I really find unfair about he child allowance is that if you have a couple and each earn £40K they can still get the child allowance but if you have one parent earning £44k and the other nothing or very little then you lose it. That makes perfect sense - not!
I found myself yelling at the tv this morning when I heard that. OH and I are not planning to have kids but if we do...he earns too much by about 1K and that is only because he has a pension from when he was in the forces that he worked very hard for. If we change our minds about kids I think he will be switching to part time hours.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1530/£2700
