I'm back in, think it's going to be tough after a few weeks not doing much flying of the tidying / cleaning variety (put like this because I was on holiday and did flying of the aeroplane variety x4). I think this week's going to be tough getting back into things and I need to remember babysteps!

Hope everyone's ok, and thanks to FCC for the thread.

Ok not too bad for my first day, I reckon.

Make a cupboard inventory.. and a list of stuff to stock up on.. - Did a freezer inventory and month's meal planner at the weekend so don't really need to do this
make sure you winter survival kit is sorted.. candles, matches, medicines etc... and your car too.. first aid box, blankets.. you never know when you may need them! - All pretty much in place already
[STRIKE]Wipe table and replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Clear and wipe tops of wall units.. only if safe for you to do so!!!!!!!
Clean out all the drawers.. they are full of what?!

    1. [STRIKE]Empty and wash out bins[/STRIKE]
    2. Sort through mugs and crockery.. fling the cracked and chipped bacteria breeding grounds!
    3. [STRIKE]wash windows [/STRIKE] Done the kitchen window anyway
    4. Wipe/defluff blinds/curtains etc
    My extras for today:
    [STRIKE]
Clean out kitchen pans cupboard as I discovered a bit of mould at the back of it
Walk down to asda to take recycling and get coconut milk
    [/STRIKE]

I've also baked bread and a lemon drizzle cake both to take to mum's when we go for dinner tonight.

Cleaned out my cupboard and some of the pans at the back had mouldy spots all over them. The bottom back corner looks as though it's damp, possibly water coming in from broken tile / rotten gutters directly above that bit fo the kitchen. We're in rented house and the gutters are due to be replaced any day now but the unit isn't getting replaced - does anyone have any ideas how I can dry out the cupboard / fix it / bodge it to stop my pans getting mouldy again?! Any help greatly appreciated :A

    Evening all

I'm kind of out of the loop, but it sounds like you are having a really tough time, vanilla. Sending you positive-outcome vibes for all the problems.

Busy day here. Started work just after 6 (marking), got kids up at 7, work 8.15-3.30 (worked through break and lunch), trip to next town to collect portable heater and guitar tuner for DS1 from Argos (we have a store about 5 minutes away, but - of course - they didn't have it in stock), collected DS2, did tea, out for DS1's college parents' evening, read with DS2, gave DH lift (who is about to be re-named ), put DS2 to bed. Collapsed and relaxed with food, cuppa and spooks.

About to start some gentle marking now and I need to empty, re-load and start the DW, TD, WM. Tomorrow it's work until 5, then hopefully a more steady evening with some decluttering. See you all then. xxx

    Hi everyone :hello:

Gentle fluttering only here.. Hopefully I'll achieve more tomorrow. Been to B'ham airport to collect DH - the longest drive I've done since I broke my arm. It aches a lot now :(
I have managed to list something on e8ay - it has 25 watchers already! Hope that bodes well. Am definitely on a decluttering mission.

Off to bed now. Hope normal service will be resumed tomorrow!
    Night all

  • Aunty Crafty sorry honey I missed that you had the funeral today - hope it went as well as these can - has the roofer appeared?
Thanks, toots - yes it went OK and a reasonable turn out, prob. about a hundred I think.

No roofer and it was a perfect day:( There may have been a good reason, but if he doesn't appear tomorrow think I will have to phone.

vanilla - hugs. Hope you get things sorted.
