. I am going to give it a go making one. They sell cellophane by the roll in country baskets but I didnt fancy buying a whole roll and spending £12 for an experiment. How much cellophane would you estimate one bouquet like the Lindt one shown earlier in the thread uses? I think I will buy a smaller amount off ebay first to try it out so dont want to buy too little!
I would say at least a piece 1m x 1m maybe even 1.5m x 1.5m.
To complicate matters, I always used to use 2 or 3 different colours in mine (sorry). But as i made them all the time i got through rolls quite quickly. In the end i found a company that sold them in ready made squares which was fab as i didnt have to cut them
Can't wait to see a pic of the finished item:T
Edit- try these

and have used these alot-very good for crafty things, good prices too

Mooetastic - lovely calenders! The choc lollies from Aldi.....did you cover them in the red paper? How did you do it because it looks very professional
Moostastic fabulous makes everything is gorgeous, Please can I pinch your Chocolate Reindeer Lollies idea
Hi Bitsy and flourgirl, thank you so much
I've done a little tutorial to make the chocolate reindeers for you and anyone else who wants to use it. The lollies are 99p for 9 from Aldi at the moment, they have milk chocolate in the shape of Santa and white chocolate snowmen. This is what they look like.
1st - take a sheet of A4 red paper and cut it into 3 strips.
2nd - place double sided tape on one edge. Place the lollipop in the middle and wrap it around and secure it.
3rd - with a paper ribber, rib the top and bottom to ensure they stay closed
4th - stick on wiggly eyes and a pompom for the nose. I just randomly drew antlers on black glitter card, cut them out and stuck them on.
5th - finish with a pre-made gold bow.
Simples!I'm thinking of doing the same thing with white craft paper/card and making snowmen later. As soon as I've done some, I'll post pics for you all to see.
You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
I'm just in the process of making my second candy bouquet for my friends daughter, I have decorated a smartprice glass tumbler with flowers using glass paints and then got some dry oasis to put the sweets in, I have used skewers and tissue paper for around the sweets and also put in some ribbon curls. For around the outside I have got some organza from a floristry supplies . I'll try and upload a pic but it is still work in progress :0It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0

Some more beautiful makes Moosetastic. Love the snowmen to go with the reindeer lollies.
Great pegs too - they look really elegant with the gems you have added. Can I ask do you use self adhesive ribbon to make them? Or is it normal ribbon or glue that you stick on.
Thanks2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

I want to try a couple of reindeer flannel/soaps, and wondered where people got the little bells from and brown pipe cleaners.
I get the bells of ebay. HTHBitsy_Beans wrote: »
