This is a simple gift to give instead of a card .... its a translucent bauble that I have just put a word in ...... I used "wish" but it could be any word that means anything to you.

I just found a font I liked and printed the word off ..... ripped the paper round it for a "torn" effect and then sprinkled with a translucent fine glitter ..... simple, easy and quick ..

The baubles were from Paperchase - for no more than 50p each (they also did boxes of 9) -

You can't buy a card for that price ..... and it's a lasting gift.

I am trying this but use transparency and print pictures of my grandchildren on them

Sorry to butt in everyone - I have posted a few times, but I haven't been keeping up. I tried to read back from my last post but it's taking forever, so I'm just going to join in from now, if you don't mind.

I am so inspired by this thread. I can't wait to make some things for Christmas now.

Check out this link I just found, nice idea for the children to do. You can never start them crafting too soon http://moviesofmyself.typepad.com/home/2009/12/paper-christmas-wreaths.html

I love that idea, guess what i will be making with my son on Christmas Eve. Must remember to keep offcuts of paper from all the items i make.
  • I've actually been getting a bit of crafting done! Here is a couple of countdown calendars:

Butterscotch they are fabulous. I can't wait to make some too. I've just purchased my cello bags, just got to wait for them to come. :j

Edited to add - this is costing a fortune LOL. Just had to buy bulldog clips too! I knew there was something I had forgotten.
