  • Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me posting.

I have been reading this thread with interest and am aiming to attempt some of the makes next month, will only try a couple just incase they don't turn out very well.

Whilst having a nosey around today the Range have Elizabeth Shaw mint 2 for £5, peppermint candy canes 12 for £1 and a big shot for £49.99. Not sure if these are a good price so thought I'd share.

    Regards

Bitsy Bean – love your Tree with the gems Christmas card. It looks so elegant. Your other cards are great too. Well done.

Mary OP – not sure where you would get strip magnets from. I’ve been using some magnetic foam that I got from Hobbycraft when it was cheap a couple of months ago, and have taken the foam off so I have an A4 size magnet, which I have been cutting down and attaching a strip to the top and bottom of the kitchen organisers I have been making.

Helen – stunning cake stand it is gorgeous, and I can’t believe was only £1.70 to make.

    Student12 – Fab countdown calendars.

I’ve had a couple of hours on my own today, so finished off making my first lot of Reindeer Poop, and some sweet bag toppers ready for the ES Mints just before Christmas. I am really pleased with how they have all come out:

Looks like you got loads of bargains today Craftfaries. We don't have a HB near hear so I have just booked a cheap night in a travel lodge on the M6 near Birmingham in November, to visit all the stores in the area. Can't wait :D.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

I bought the calendar tabs from The Works today, 20p each, but they seem a little big for the beermat?? I have ordered some Anitas ones from Ebay so hope they will be a bit smaller. I have made another 8 beermat calendar bases, so I can just add the calendar tab and embellishments once they arrive. Can I ask how much do you sell the calendars for??

The reindeers have little chocolate xmas lollies in them from Aldi, 99p for 9, so should be able to make a decent profit on them even if I sell them at 50p each.

I have also made about 50 magnetic pegs as well today, just need to bag them up and they'll be ready to go as well.

All in all a very productive day, even though there's only 3 pics to show for it! LOL x
You're so very special, I wish I was special

Fab makes Moosetastic. Love what you have done with the chocolate lollies.

I want to try a couple of reindeer flannel/soaps, and wondered where people got the little bells from and brown pipe cleaners.

aw Hollie that isso generous of you. I am going to give it one last shot this week at finding them in a local shop. Could I ask what the exact name of the shop was? I have various poundshops round my way scattered about so if I knew which one to hit it may narrow it down!
    I think I have
    B+M bargains
    Home Bargains
    Poundworld
    Poundland
    Poundshop
off the top of my head! A couple are on a precient I dont visit as you have to pay to park and its similar shops to the other (plus its abit rough :S) but may make the effort this week in my bid for mini candy canes hahaha
  • Oh and whats the gram weight of the box if you have it to hand Hollie ?
