Sorry to butt in!!! I've been looking at Cuttlebugs on ebay too!! Not many about and don't seem to be much cheaper than buying a new one. Can someone please tell me (I am very new to this and haven't got a clue!) can cuttlebug embossing folders be used with a Bigshot machine? Bigshots seem to be cheaper than Cuttlebugs? I want to use the Swiss Dots to emboss my wedding invitations then when they are all done I want to start making more cards for Christmas, birthdays etc.

Thanks in advance - ps I love this thread. You are all so inspirational and friendly!!! (Unlike some other threads on this Forum)
i have found a few cuttlebugs on ebay brand new £60 and free postage,£77 in hobby craft so a little cheaper,at the moment they have the big shot on offer in hobby craft, normally is £75

not sure about the embossing folders but i would be interested to know this

    hi hogshead,

sorry i have not thanked you before today but only just noticed your post, after rereading the thread. Will look for a demonstrator in my area for the su punch. Will also take note of your tip about the cornering, for next time.craftygranny has very kindly offered to help me out with a few for christmas.
Although my sister very kindly robed me in to making all her place settings, wedding favs and table setting.hope you did not mind me asking but where would be the best place to by punches from looking for wedding was with hearts and butterflys. thanks.

See you have had a fair few replies. You have linked to a butterfly punch on ebay which will come in @ £3 there abouts once bought. Hobbycraft have the 3 butterfly Martha Stewart punch for £11.99 which although MUCH dearer, has 3 butterflys of different sizes ANMD it is a goos quality punch so you can expect it to get you through a batch of wedding stationary no problem.
Should it let you down you can take it back to Hobbycraft for an exchange.
I'd plumb for the MS punch. I have a single butterfly & it really is lovely.

Nipped into Hobbycraft yesterday & bought 13 packs of 5mm wobbly eyes reduced to 29p. They have puffy stickers for 99p a sheet, various designs so bought some of those too.
The works have bags 50 for 99p small & £1.99 large. Sorry I didn't note the sizes but small are ideal for most projects in this thread. A call to store will help if you need exact size (if I have time later I may do that)

I WANT a small holly punch like flourgirl used, none in Hobbycraft.

Have all chocs ready to crack on with my makes. Doing some baubles like the puddings using ES chocs.

    Hi hogshead,

Thank you so much for replying. It wasn't the one I was thinking of, but Butterscotchs' gift card holder is fab too!

Still wish I knew where I saw what I'm thinking of. Anyway, ANY ideas are very very welcome!
