Morrisons have the Red and Green Christmas Sugar Strands in £1. I used them last year they looked ok.
Just been making some little Christmas Puddings, with the round mints, they are on my homepage if you fancy a nosey
Flourgirl - they look fantastic!!!thankyou craft granny, looks like i have saved my partner£175
they dd have the big hot but may look into the cuttle bug, reason why i liked the slice was because it was very compact,is there any other machines like this that may be half decent?
Hollie - I bought the Cuttlebug in the US recently - I tried it out alittle when I bought it and it was very easy to use and takes up little space. I've only got back home today but will let you know more when I get it all unpacked!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Thanks this is just the type of tool I was refering to. Ladsmadd try picking one up, I would imagine all craft stores have them, save you postage however you will end up spending more whilst in there so counter productive really.
I think cornering the lower L & R would look just fine but you could also try cornering the upper L & R too if the tool will take the double fold. Give it a shot.
The scallop circle is a Stampin Up punch which flying pig has used. You need to get this from a demonstrator, google for one in your area, they are a plenty. Helens friend is a demo so she may help too. I have scallop nesties & could use those but I too am considering buying the SU puch as it'll be much quicker I could punch lots out on my lap rather than get the Big Shot out. Is that a bad excuse?
hi hogshead,
sorry i have not thanked you before today but only just noticed your post, after rereading the thread. Will look for a demonstrator in my area for the su punch. Will also take note of your tip about the cornering, for next time.craftygranny has very kindly offered to help me out with a few for christmas.
Although my sister very kindly robed me in to making all her place settings, wedding favs and table setting.hope you did not mind me asking but where would be the best place to by punches from looking for wedding was with hearts and butterflys. thanks.# 017 -Sealed Pot Challenge 8

Hollie thanks for your honesty:)
The bells on reindeer i do the same as you think it is the easiest way:)I have 2 gorgeous kids0 -
Daft Christmas toothbrush idea here!!!!! But I am terrible for going "Christmas" in my festive bathroom!!!
I think I paid 50p for two toothbrushes from Asda - so 25p each to use from 1st Dec - 1st Jan is OK!
I've used Sharpies pens for the holly design and then a coat of clear varnish over the top (without the varnish the design will rub off after a couple of uses.)0 -

For me the best punches for Weddings/Butterflies and ease of use have to be Martha Stewart (just google them and see the wonderful projects you can make with them))
My very favourite is the Monarch butterfly punch .....on cards etc - and then as large sprinkles .... stunning
The punch with the three butterflies allows you to layer.0 -

I LOVE this thread .....!!! I can't look at it during the day ..... but every night there is about 5 new lovely pages to read ..... I love the way we are all bouncing ideas off each other! I have got so many ideas to try out next week when I am off.
Hi Emmamumof2 ......... £65 in Accessorize ....... oh my life (been there, got the t-shirt ..... bought the shop!!!) - I am obsessed by Accessorize stickers ..... goodness knows how many I buy in a year ...... but I have always sold every card I have made with them.
I know the card below is made from Accessorize stickers from a couple of years ago .... but it is an idea/template that I use time and time again - the accessorize stickers are small, but when used in this design they can look stunning.
This card uses the snowman stickers in Accessorize this year
And these penguins came from one of their animal sets.
To make the scalloped square I use an X-Cut scalloped nesting punch (1in - measured diagonally) about £3.99
Most of the cards I make measure 5 x 5 ins
I almost always use white linen card which I buy about 2/3 times a year in a Mega Box from Pappermill Online - I think a box costs about £39 - sometimes they have it on special offer and its P & P free) - I buy such vast quantities becuase I do make a lot of cards throughout the year.
I get my square envelopes from e-bay.
I cut all my cards myself to get the right size, scoring them on a scoreboard.
A tool I just cannot craft without - I use it every single day!
And I cut them on an X Cut guillotine0 -
I use this butterfly punch it's brill it cuts and embosses so you can stand the wings up like katies .
What size heart punch are you looking for i have smallish woodware ones and a bigger fiskers squeeze heart punch.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
