Absolutely loving this thread, you lot are such clever people, I have already started making some toppers for Snowman Poop and Reindeer Poop, love the Gingerbread Man label, could I please ask Cuddles to PM me a copy of that. And I am also loving the Festive Fairy Shake, will have many of these to make. Many thanks.

I think that sounds good emma but think the lines need altered about as 2nd and 4th should rhyme. Just moving your words about:

These canes are used by Santas Elves
If they cant walk so well
But Santa's sent some just for you
as long as you dont tell.

I thought it didnt quite sound right - of course should be 2nd and 4th not 1st and 4th!!

can I just check the measurements
    is it definately 27cms x 18 cms ??
I've just made one and it looked very odd very long and thin is that right ???
    I'm thinking not :(

I did mine 8 and a half inches x 5 and a quarter as I wanted smaller, I sort of used the ones on Splitcoast stampers as a size guide. I've only put 5 humbugs in mine as just a novelty stocking filler but it would hold a few more.

Are you sticking the short sides together first to form the tube?

been upstairs creating and realised thats what I did wrong I was trying to stick the long sides together ooops
anyway I cut the sheet of card in half and made 2 smaller ones
not bad if I do say so myself but they keep coming unstuck !!!
but I will keep trying until I get it right
how easy are they once you know what you're doing !!!

For doing the ES mints a scalloped punch is much quicker than using a die cutting maching as you can only do one at a time on there and it takes longer that than it does punching paper. I use nesties if I am doing a few of one shape but not if I am doing bulk.

  • my punches finally arrived today !!!, now im punching holes in everything lol. got a lot to do as my xmas fair is this saturday and ive made everthing else but the scalloped circles

    Hi everyone!!!

Just back from Morrisson's and I got the Elizabeth Shaw mint's they are on BOGOF, I managed to get milk ones!!!

Also I have been to Home Bargains and they had the Cadbury miniture's, now I have been looking for a large box with them in when in fact they are teeny weeny - so have been looking in the wrong place!!!

Also they had single stainless steel cookie cutter shape's - gingerbread men, snowman etc for 39p each or a pack of 6 - all different shapes - for 99p.

The pack contains a gingerbread man, Bethlehem Star, Christmas Tree, A Bell, An Angel & A Snowman with scarf - again all stainless steel.

They are made by a company called Sweet Confectioneries.

Hope that help's for those who are doing the cookie gift. They were in the Christmas section.

    Loving this thread :)
