Possibly stupid question: if you use self sealing bags for your sweets does this mean you don't need a vacuum bag sealer?
I haven't with my self sealing bags but I was wondering how long the sweets would remain fresh for?For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -

Not sure, I have only made them using chocolates or sweets that are wrapped individually. I dont make to sell only to give to family and friends but I'm sure someone who sells them would know.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Has anyone ever used the Woodware punches? I have had my eye on the Stampin Up punches for ages after seeing everyone else ordering them!! But I dont make to sell and money is really tight so I just cannot justify spending that amount of money on them.
BUT I have found some Woodware stamps on ebay for £5 - but just wanted peoples opinions on them before I buy them!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Flower - I've put a lot of sweets in self sealing bags but then they go into another container so fingers crossed they'll stay ok. I don't sell things so it's only family and I'm sure they're tell me.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I've got the Woodware ones and they've worked fine for me. I think they're quite good for the price. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -

Hollie I am being a real nosey so and sobut what's the best way to make a living from something like this? Do you sell much of your goods online (I love Folksy
) or do you just do a lot of craft fairs etc? I confess I've found all lot of the crafting very time consuming  Working 2 full days a week and having 2 young children of my own as well as the house and garden to maintain.......goodness there aren't enough hours in the day.
Finished off my snowman soup last night and some of my bare tree cards today. I have a box full of goodies to sell at toddler group next week  wish me luck!!!
Want to make some more cards and have to complete some orders for friends and my mum so the merry go round of madness continues :rotfl:
jakesmum - love the lolly flowers :T thanks for posting the tutorial.
I know the question was aimed at hollie but I do craft fairs, word of mouth, friend local playschool and have just set up a facebook page usually most of my orders have been people needing them by a certain date so have had a couple of weeks or a week to sort them.
I have 3 kids to look after and 1 has disabilities its all about prioritising and I do tend to do a lot of my stuff at night when they are in bed or the days my son is at playschool all day HTH:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -

For anyone wanting a large glass jar for pots of gold or anything else - I just bought this from Ikea for 59p - it has a silvery grey lid on it and I have just decoupaged mine with gold tissue paper and then scribbled with Gold Stickles. I will then add a layer of glittery Mod Podge to stop the glitter coming off. It's really large so great if you are doing a sweet jar or pot of gold for a relative or friend. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0
