i've been reading this thread for the last couple of weeks or so and just wanted to say how fantastic you crafty ladies are! your makes and tutorials etc are fab and have really inspired me to get crafty for christmas (and the rest of the year)! i've started off simple with some christmas cards but am planning to borrow some of your brilliant ideas to add to the hampers i'm making for family christmas presents. if i'm feeling brave i might try to upload some pics when i get things finished - but will depend on whether my laptop will let me, it's a bit hormonal! the only thing i wish was that there were some little children in mine and DH's families so that i could make magic reindeer food, etc for them! Hubby says i could make it for him but i don't think it'd be quite the same!0

meggielo - if you're around, can I ask a question please?
When you make your fabulous bookmarks, do you put magnets in? The tutorial I found uses magnets so I bought some, but they aren't very strong through the material. Just wondered if you can advise please?Jack of all trades ... Master of none

Hi all :j
Fab makes yet again..........this thread gets so busy I can never catch up.............lol
Love the mint puddings and snowmen ones........don't have a cutter so think if I did those I'd have to use a jar top or something like that. I'd only be doing a few for family so it wouldn't be that much of a chore.............not this year though:)
Think a 'sticky' would be a good idea for tutorials........not sure how you go about it though.
My efforts today have been making a few more fabric hearts and covering another diary -not made a pigs ear of this one thankfully............lol:rotfl:
Cheap shop has just opened in town.......only a little one but OH bought some bars of choccy for 25p for me to cover and turn into a rudolph or snowman - think he's brought enough home to keep me happy if I have a 'choccy' moment tonight..........lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

For my poop and reindeer food I've used "card wallets" from the Works. Perfect size, self seal and 50 for 99p :T:T thats fab,its lucky i do this as a full time thing because if i had of been doing it 1.5 years ago before i left for maternity leave there would have been no chance of me getting anything done.i don't have any crafty family members that could help me, they would just end up making a mess of things and im a bit of a perfectionist
Hollie I am being a real nosey so and sobut what's the best way to make a living from something like this? Do you sell much of your goods online (I love Folksy
) or do you just do a lot of craft fairs etc? I confess I've found all lot of the crafting very time consuming  Working 2 full days a week and having 2 young children of my own as well as the house and garden to maintain.......goodness there aren't enough hours in the day.
Finished off my snowman soup last night and some of my bare tree cards today. I have a box full of goodies to sell at toddler group next week  wish me luck!!!
Want to make some more cards and have to complete some orders for friends and my mum so the merry go round of madness continues :rotfl:
jakesmum - love the lolly flowers :T thanks for posting the tutorial.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Possibly stupid question: if you use self sealing bags for your sweets does this mean you don't need a vacuum bag sealer?0
