I love this thread! I've finally been to the Range today and bought some bits to get started. I am going to make snowman soup and some sweet jars so I also need a trip to IKEA! Anyway I got some Father Christmas stickers for embellishments on my sweetie jars, some Christmas ribbons, a White pen, and some lovely toppers which were 35p a bag and good for people like me who don't have fancy machines! They were 35p a bag and have 6 of the same design in each. I'll try and take a photo later. I also picked up a bag of different coloured card, just for the sheets of red and green, as it was only 79p. I did look for punches but they only had 1" & 3" sizes and the 3" was £10.99. I can't justify that as I'm only making a few for my kids and nieces & nephews so I may be drawing round lids and using scissors! I've also been to Asda and they are selling packs if their own snowman poop type sweets for £1 a bag or 2 for £1.50. They were in the Christmas aisle with the rest of the Christmas confectionary.0

I also got 2 iridescent clear baubles but they were 99p each so jot very MSE. I'm going to get the kids to write a little Christmas Wish note, one for Grandma and one for Nana. I'm so excited, I love Christmas!0

If you have anywhere near you that sell animal feed you can buy oats or pony nuts in smaller quantities. I buy corn as we have a lot of geese near us so they eat it quickly. the children dont know who ha eaten it so it doesnt really matter. I bought a huge bag of corn for a pound so we have very well fed geese and ducks around here.0 -

I havent ordered them yet, so any pointers off others as to which size they got of the woodware punches would be much appreciated!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Thanks Andymandy.....
I just realised I put donkey instead of reindeer...... why on earth I did that, heaven knows..
I bought some wild bird food in Lidl earlier on for £1 and did a bit of research about sugar and wildbirds so will be colouring some ordinary sugar as per http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/colored-sugar/Detail.aspx
Using edible glitter would not be cost effective ... though I'm not sure that coloured sugar and wild bird seed is going to be as 'christmassy' as oats and glitter.... ???0 -

Hi all :j
CT - thanks for putting tutorial on your blog.............I wondered how you did the ''telephone numbers'' bit. I haven't got one of those ''nesties'' (is that the right word?) so all I've done on mine is put shopping list I covered, calendar )found one on internet to print out in nice shade of green so used that on all of them so just cut it out and stapled it together), added post it notes and cos I'm so c**p at doing a ribbon to hold a pen I've stuck a peg on I've covered in matching paper and that holds the pen.
Love that latest one you've done:T
rinroo - brilliant door hanger :T (I did a load of those the other year........nearly gave me nightmares I got in such a pickle............lol)
flourgirl -love the christmas puds.........there on my list for next year
Gina - The first year I did the reindeer food for grandson (down to his mum and dad to re-fill the tub each year) I just used some cereal we'd got in the house.
Finished off covering choccy bars now so I've a load of Rudolphs on my ''stash room'' along with all the other stuff that now needs packing otherwise I'll get too confused and give the wrong stuff to the wrong people..............lol
Decided to call it a day for this year........anything else I spot I'm going to put on next years list I think. Just need to do a Journal for myself for next year then maybe I can have a good old tidy up.................lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
