moneysaver, sell the samples on ebay if you aren't going to use them, try to recoup your money.
AND stop worrying about Avon and how you are doing! You are expecting a baby and you need to take care of yourself.
Don't go mad and spend lots of money on Avon in the beginning, I say this to everyone! With paying your admin fee, etc, you aren't left with much discount after, and you are working to earn money, not spend it all before you get it.
It's a shame you had to spend so much money getting your leaflets printed.
When I first started out, I didn't do newsletters or print things out, I didn't have a printer, I eventually got 2 off freecycle.
I used post it notes, or wrote on a piece of paper and put that in with my books.
I understand everyone wants to make a good discount when they first start out, I would too. I didn't though! It took me about 3 campaigns to start making anything.
And a reason your friend didn't do well with her territory? How long did she cover it for? Sometimes people have had unreliable reps, and wait to see if the rep is going to keep coming around before ordering.0 -
doing avon has been really good for my morale, even though i have barely made any commission. i am always so stingy about buying 'extras' for myself, like makeup and body products, because they are so expensive. i was always hesitant to buy them as well, because so many times i've spent the money and then found out the product was not what I want... which is money down the drain. but with avon i can send it back if it doesn't work properly
so even though i have not yet reached the point yet where i am getting enough orders to make money, i am 'making' money in the sense that i am getting things way cheaper than at Boots and with no fear of being out of pocket for a bad product. so i have some nice new products and i feel like every day is a spa day now. i love it. lol

Yes, with the moneymaker you get the EDP, body spray and body lotion all for £9. If you get an order from C17 and they want the watch then you will need to order it from C17 and the watch.
This moneymaker is for C18 where the body lotion and body spray come free with the EDP for £14 ensuring you make a tidy £5 profit per set ordered rather than £3.50. I haven't decided yet whether I will be ordering any or not although its worth noting that Outspoken EDP on its own will only be £9 in C1 so unsold sets will probably need returning pretty quickly. BTW, Outspoken is £6.30 in HT1. You can only order one but tempting at that price...Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Morning
Thank you for the advise on Outspoken, its weird as I have not sold a single bottle of it since I started Avon in July but I have four orders for the Perfume this campaign (16), as they have ordered it at its full price I think I will give them the other two items with it as a special rep deal (can I do that) especially as they are all regular customers, no doubt I will end up keeping a bottle for myself as well!!0 -

Agree - but also it is still worth putting the lipstick samples in to either your orders or your book bags. People will still try them, like them, and try to find a similar product in the book. They may even ask you for a recommendation which opens the lines of conversation, and gives you a great opportunity to promote the 90 day guarantee.
Don't worry about being too organised with it and offering advice there and then, you could ask your customer for a mobile number and offer to text her once you have had chance to study the book.
Same goes with the fragrances. It is a bit of a pain in the bum trying to get the top off the little phials, but they are really really useful especially over the Christmas season to pop in a bag when you are going out. Put 2 or 3 in - there is bound to be one your customers will like!!0 -
Hi, Chelseylou
Horrary have finally printed off some newletters to give to my customers! (thanks to a friend who let me borrow hers as my ink ran out!) but now I'm thinking of doing little leaflets/notes to say thanks for order and it will be delievered on and it will be £x. but not really sure on how to word it, or is how I wrote it ok? I'm normally good at this kinda thing but at this time of night my brain doesnt function very well! and I've been sorting out my Avon most of the day! thanks in advance!
Hi if you go onto the Avon Reps site, Training, Customer Message Slips and then Order Delivery Note. There is already one drafted that you can just print off. Hope this helps) There are also other slips which I found useful, Amanda

Hi. Does anybody know if the Gold Skin So Soft oil spray stuff has a fragrance? Sorry haven't got a book with me (bad I know - should have one with me at all times) but a customer has just texted me the question and I'm not sure.0

Moneymaker - we've all had really bad collection days. I've posted a few ranty posts on here myself where you get a bad run of houses where people either aren't interested or don't leave them out. I know you've put a lot of time into your territory, but could you consider switching to being a F+F rep for a couple of campaigns so you can have the baby and keep Avon stress to a minimum? I know you wouldn't want to risk losing your territory, but it might be an option. Or you could just drop books to customers on your territory to keep the workload down. People on my territory who don't read the brochures only get every other brochure, which means that on the campaigns where they don't get a book I have much less to do.
I had someone yesterday who hadn't left it out, so I put a reminder and went back. I caught them in and they said they'd left it out ages ago and eventually threw it away because I hadn't gone back. I could have sworn his brochure collection day was last Sunday, not the one before that, so I have no idea why it got left out early. No other brochures got left out a week early. They're not interested, but I'm the sort of person who hates it when people think I'm wrong, disorganised, or not doing my job properly. He was nice about it, and I didn't want to get into it on the doorstep, but I was walking away thinking, "I bet he thinks I'm unreliable".I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
