ooh well done on gaining a new customer! No idea! E-mail Avon CS and ask them! Sure they can see your account or know who has contacted you to let you know their details.
I have found her, she joined my group I but couldnt get on it at all last night. I have sent a message asking if she wants to look at a book. :)

Well, look what happens - I leave you alone for a few days and .... shiny new thread!

Thanks Aureol, and the first few posts are fab at summarising everything. Every time I read all the hints & tips on a new thread I find something I had forgotten about!

Been on a sales course for a couple of days last week with my FT job. When I told one of my customers last week, she gave me a funny look, then said "Clare, you don't need any sales training. You come round here, sit with me for 10 mins while I look through the book, and before I know it I've spent £50! Then you sell me another £20 worth while you are standing on the doorstep saying goodbye!!". I said, yes, but not everybody is like that!!

Regarding the canvassing thing, I have been rubbish over the past couple of months with canvassing, even on my new territory. Really need to pick up before Christmas, and then will start again on my new territory in about March time I think.

Just too much other stuff going on at the moment! It is a struggle to get round my customers!!

I have got a new ASM starting next week, fingers crossed she's OK. She is based in Northern Ireland - even further away than my last one! But then I get on OK with being managed from a distance.

Right. Going for tea & toast now that I have caught up with my emails from last week!
  • I've been trying to find out from the Avon website what you need to do to o from rep to SL. I'm only on my 2nd campaign so guessing it'd be a while yet before I can but cant find the info for looking! Under oppourtunities it tells you the benefits but not how you get to it etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've checked first page but didnt see anything (sorry if I've missed it - baby brain alert!)

they have some kind of formula that says x amount of houses = y amount of potential customers = z expected revenue!

You should see one of my roads! it is a small cul de sac, have 3 sometimes 4 customers and they expect me to have silly amount in sales!

Well, i emailed my ASM on saturday night and she replied this morning! And has allocated me 109 new houses! Quick response eh!
However, as you have mentioned above, the potential sales figures are unbelievable! They expect half of the houses in each road to become customers! I will be lucky if there are a couple on each road! I will just have to put my sales head on and hope for the best!

    Hi

Just saying hello! I signed up as a rep on Friday - but am feeling really down about it all today!!!

I put my books through around 20 doors on the street yesterday am (in the pouring rain!) after following the brill tips on page 1, adding little notes, offering a free gift for spends over £10. Going to pick them up Weds and then do the rest of the street...........i'm really worried that no one will order!!!

I took one into work today but nobody seemed to have much interest......i'm full of a cold and feeling rotten...worried I've made a mistake signing up....or maybe I need a slap...lol.

How did everyone else find their first campaign?

If anyone could answer this query in the next 24 hours it would be much appreciated! I've got my order deadline tomorrow...

Basically, I'm looking at the Party Pack offer on page 14 of HT 17 (one with mum and children on cover). I'm mailplan A so I'm looking at the following sentence: "Order from Hello Tomorrow 17 in Campaign 15, to be delivered an billed in Campaign 16."

I'm currently in C16, but I went into my order and backordered from C15. The system let me put in the code and when I clicked on "view descriptions" it said "Party Pack offer". I then went to view the invoice and it's showing up as C15, Party Pack offer, £30. I haven't had any warnings saying that I can't backorder it.

Customers have ordered several products from this pack so I want to be sure it will:
    - arrive at all
    - arrive with my C16 order

Thanks for any help you can give! :)
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

    Hi Sarah,
You just need to get well! Just focus on taking care of that cold. Give the Avon time, it's way too early to give up. The first campaign is always nerve wracking but with persistence things will get easier, and Xmas is coming so people will order. Welcome to the Avonettes.

Aww thank you Joyfull - had this cold for two weeks and it won't budge!!! Think I'm a little nervous about knocking on people's doors!

The first time can be a bit iffy. I'm the most un-pushy person ever and I've survived 7 yrs with Avon. Be really friendly and polite as first impressions will be remembered. If people havn't left the books out, you don't even have to knock, just put a little note through reminding them to leave it out.

I will also be doing this next Monday when i input my C16 order, as i missed the pack when i did C15 and really want one for a party i am doing. I have asked the question before and it is fine to backorder from the previous HT - only problem being that some things may be out of stock by then. However, it is at least promising if it says on your invoice that it is currently in stock? Of course this is still not 100% guaranteed, but neither is any other product you order, so i would be fairly confident that the pack will arrive with your c16 order. Not too sure when you will be billed for it though... hope this is correct info...
