Seriously some SL take the p*ss - as A says - we *have* to provide brochures for your first 2 campaigns, 20 at least for each (thats all we get refunded for), though many people, including me give out more (though if people are doing f&f then I don't as 20 is usually too many for a lot of people).
Tell them to do their bl**dy job right lol!
And yes connects is rubbish - its so slow & hard to navigate I have to say I rarely log in lol!
Please can you tell me exactly what it says in the handbook about giving books for the first two campaigns because my SL is being very awkward. She says that because she gave me 40 for my first campaign then that is her lot done and that ordering for my second and third is up to me....DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

I dont agree with what she is saying. Have you got the "Say Hello to a new Tomorrow" book she went through when she did the presentation with you. Its the one with the 3 lady's on the front. If you look on page 9. Its says towards the bottom of the page "Free brochures for your first 2 campaigns to help you get started".
Hope you get this sorted. if you want to you can pm me.

UPDATE: I just went to quickly check my Sales Leader guide. Basically it says the minimum expectation is for each new Representative to be supplied with a minimum of 20 brochures for each of the first 2 campaigns. If you choose to provide more brochures to your Representatives, this will be at your own cost.
Tell your Sales Leader to look at page 20 of the Sales leader E-guide under the Heading "Ordering Appointment Materials" and then under * Appointment Packs * Avon Brochures. It says it all there.
I always give my new representatives who has got territory 40 brochures for their 1st and 40 brochures for their 2nd order (and brochures bags) to help them get started eventhough us Sales Leaders only get refunded for 40 brochures.
I just cant believe somebody would have the cheek to give 40 brochures in one go and expect the representative to buy their 2nd lot themselves that really makes my blood boil.
I hope you get this sorted.

This makes me so angry, since she is obviously just doing what she wants then. The "Say Hello to a new Tomorrow" booklet she must have gone through with you when she did the presentation clearly states you get free brochures for your 1st two campaigns to help you get started. Can you remember when you signed up if she said anything about instead of providing brochures for 2 campaigns she will give you 40 brochures for the 1st campaign instead?
I think the whole point why AVON says free brochures for your 1st two campaigns, is since it keeps the start up costs down, since normally you would just have to order your 3rd lot of brochures with your 1st order. (We always order brochures 2 campaigns ahead)

Thank you for checking this for me. So technically she can get away with giving me 40 in one go as she could argue i can use 20 for backordering on 2nd campaign - but she didnt even tell me that you could back order (nor did she really tell me anything useful) i only found that out when reading this forum - and luckily had the nounce to order next campaigns brochures with first campaign order because i already gathered how (UN)helpful my SL was going to be.
Gosh, i wish you were my SL, you sound far more competent and helpful.DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Yes, i can totally understand that, as most of my first order's profits were used up on books for c16 and c17 and bags... grrrr. i wish i could complain to her upliner (who's an SL) but unfortunately she is backing my SL up. i have asked her if she can give me some c18 books instead and she is standing her ground that she gave me 40 books and thats all she gets refunded for. Her argument is - well you ordered some with your first order didnt you so whats the problem... the problem is ITS THE PRINCIPLE!!!!
geez. i think i am just going to go about my avonning without ever having to bother with my SL... i guess i should be grateful she gave me any books at all.

If you started in C15 she should have given you 20 x campaign 15 brochures and then when she did your training showing you how to place the order she should have given you your 2nd campaigns free brochures which should have been 20 x campaign 16's. (obviously some sales leaders do give more at our own cost)
(Back ordering has got nothing to do with it, if she had spare previous campaigns brochures she could have GIVEN them to you as extra's, but by the sound of it that would not happen.)
If she chose to give you 40 brochures for your 1st campaign, then as far as I am concerned the other 20 should be at her own cost not yours! She should still have given you your 20 free brochures for your 2nd campaign as stated on the "Say Hello to a new Tomorrow book" and the Sales Leader E guide. Thats the way I read it. It clearly says "Free brochures for your first 2 campaigns to help you get started". and "If you choose to provide more brochures to your Representatives, this will be at your own cost."
She can argue saying that she might have told you she will give you 40 brochures in your 1st order instead when she signed you up. Can you remember if she said anything or what she said regarding the brochures?
There are loads of very helpfull ladies on here. Auereol & Lozza has helped me out loads too in the past and there is other helpfull people on here as well.
If you need any help just ask everybody here is friendly and will help as much as we can.

HAH sorry i had to laugh at the bold bit - TRAINING?? whats that? i have only seen my SL once when she signed me up. She has promised to phone me a few times but then text to say sorry i havent called. and as she didnt call when she said she was going to on order day i worked it out myself. i think ive been unlucky with a dodgy SL...
that is why i am extremely grateful that i found this forum or i most likely would have told her where to stick it. what frustrates me is that she obviously gets commission on my orders and that is through no help of hers. hey ho.DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800
