  • Got a much better order in C15 than 14 or 13 and have now covered my 2nd territory. Ive been using books from 2 campaigns so backordering every time. This time I think I can manage with just one lot of brochures so order and extra 10 c16 brochures(total of 40). I do about 150 houses with this. I made some slips for my new road(its a biggy) and on the 3rd brochure I put one in asking if they wished to see future Avon brochures. A few didnt-about 6 so that 6(3 times over)brochure I have to spare so I can cover approx 18 extra houses this camp with no extra effort. Met some lovely people tonight on their first delivery and had a few long chats. Like last camp-got in at 8pm but all bar 3 people have their orders. One tomorrow(elderly neighbour), one Sat(her pay day)and one away for a few days.
I plan the route that hopefully I don't have to backtrack. Brochures were delivered with postits on for my first territory saying I would collect book when i delivered this order(today). So Ive covered about a third already. Picked up some books with orders, pick up some more tomorrow and bump them straight back out Fri to collect Tues. That leaves me lots of time for the stragglers and those who like to keep the book.
I persist in picking up books even if they are expired just to show I do turn up! They are now leaving them out for me I find even if not on the correct day-the next time I drop by I often find the book waiting -often with an order. Im trying to collect books on regular days so that people know when I will be calling so if they miss me on a Tues for instance they expect I will be looking by again on a Friday. I find Saturday too many people are out so have had to change from this campaign.First part of my delivery is older folk in one road-then the next 2 roads most tend to be home in afternoon with 2nd territory being working families and evening delivery. Ive told them all I deliver up to 8pm but never later. That way they know when to expect me. Having a routine early on helps customers to be ready for you -knowing more or less what timee to expect you. The ones I did tonight I told them it would generally be an evening delivery-as it will be.

One question! How do we get the free bathrobes? Do we need to order them? Im due to receive 7 I believe but no mention of it on the paperwork?

Welcome to the threads all newbies :hello:

I did well in C16, hit £200 in sales, a first in a long time for me, although I was getting last minute orders too!

I went to a netmum meetup yesterday, and have nominated myself as Right Hand Mum! As if I don't have enough in my life! Gave a book to a mum to be, because she thought Avon only did makeup.... so hopefully will have an order from her next time.

I have found out I can advertise in a quartely newsletter that is sent to residents that subscribe where I live, for £15 a year. The booklet goes out 4 times a year, but it is also distributed in local libraries at the summer fair, etc. So am going to draft up something and do that! You never know who might see a booklet?

Am also going to hold an Avon party! Am I mad or what? Not doing it at home, am going to do it a Community Hall, and invite some of the people from the local estate, a few netmums and anyone else I can think off! Doing it jointly with a friend who has qualified as a Nail Technician, so she can do demos on the night. Am going to do it about a week before my order has to go in, so they will only have to wait a short time for delivery.

Better start reading the Avon Party Hints and Tips!

im really confused with my online invoice. :( I paid my last bill taking off the returns but adding on a recharge before if was showing. But the invoice is still showing the recharge as owing and another. I had already emailed them about that one last time and they said they had it so a bit cross that they have recharged it. I have emailed them and hopefully they will clear it up. I know they are good at getting back to us, I guess its my fault for paying before it was showing.

don't worry dizzybella. I have found with Avon, it is best not to pay for things you know you are going to be charged for until it shows on your invoice, otherwise it shows as a credit on your account, but Avon don't know you are paying it against recharges or returns, and just take it from your current balance.

They can amend your account to show the credits against the right products.

I thought it would be easy to do like with returns.next time though Il wait. I know they will sort it out though and take off the other recharge seeing as they have already confirmed that they have got it. Just a bit confusing for me at 8 this morning lol.

too many posts to reply too! and I am supposed to go and see a customer at 4pm.

This one rings me twice a day even when I tell her I will call her on a set day at a set time, got really stroppy and asked her why she was calling me at 9pm when I have already told her when I will contact her!

    anyway I digress!

Your SL  she should have provided you with free books for your first 2 campaigns! It is entirely upto her if she wants to give you extra books for 1 campaign!

Tell her you want C18 books free as she should have supplied C16 free!

OK, this one might baffle you cos its baffled me... but my SL's SL told me that she is allowed to give me 40 of first camp and then i have to order 2nd and 3rd myself... why does my SL have a SL? surely her upliner is the ASM? :s

No, SL's can have downliners that are SLs, and the original SL might have an Upliner who is an SL!

    confusing or what?

nope! We have to give 20 in first campaign,20 in second. I am no longer an SL, so cannot quote from the SL handbook, but Lozza1985 still is, and she confirmed what I said, so tell your SL to refer to her handbook where it states this.
  • Well... I'm doing okay. There has been an issue with finding me some territory so I have to find my own. I've contacted SL & ASM but they have said I have to pick my own streets which has set me back as other than my own street the other ones I've gone to already have a rep which is a shame. I'm trying to do some networking to get some more customers but its not proving easy. ...

Have you started up a facebook page? I have done one and have invited all my friends, and my friends friends and so on and each time someone accepts I write on their wall to say welcome and check out the e-brochure etc. I am getting loads of friend requests this way as they see my posts on their friends page...free advertising :T Had a few brochure requests and some orders. It will also tell you where in your town people aren't seeing a regular brochure so you can pick some new territory
