Sorry to gatecrash the thread but I am an Avon customer seeking advice. I bought a skincare item that came with a free gift. Unfortunately I am allergic to the item I bought but have already giben away the free gift to a friend....
Is there anyway I can return the item without the gift? I would be happy to choose something else rather than have my money back, but am not sure where I stand? I won't see my rep for a couple of weeks so wondered if anyone on here knew Avon's policy on this?
you can return the item you are allergic to for a full refund. Just explain to your Rep that you have already given away the free gift to a friend, and they can tell Avon. There is nothing Avon can do about it now.0 -
chasingsunshine, as minigirl says, get all the facts from this customer. Find out how much she has to spend to qualify for the 10% discount, ie £25 free delivery and 10% discount, or 10% discount and then pay for delivery, etc. How long is this offer for, etc.
And then say to your customer, that is all well and good, but if they get 10% but have to pay delivery, they lose out. You deliver for free, you offer free gifts for conditional spend.
You can give them a full refund if they don't like the products, without all the hassle of contacting Avon and having to to go the post office to return the item. You can offer samples of things they would like to test, etc, etc.
Sell yourself as a good reason to keep ordering from you0 -
Thanks Aureolchasingsunshine wrote: »Hmmm I've had a call from one of my best customers this afternoon, she works for NHS and has an NHS discount card, apparantly she had an email today with offers, one of the offers was from Avon... 10% off when a code is quoted. She works with 4 of my other customers so guessing they'll all get it too.
Gonna be gutted if I lose those customers!!
Luckily the lady who phoned me was phoning to see if I knew about it as she obviously guessed other may take up that offer instead of ordering through me
Not sure what I can do about that. Maybe offer them the 10% through me for their next order if they do mention it. Otherwise thats almost halved my customer base straight away
Just a quick note to say I have had various offers sent to me including the NHS one which excludes p & p of £3.95. The only time I use online is if I need something quickly and they are doing a free delivery offer. But mostly they are very slow to deliver, they send huge boxes that need to be signed for, and returns are a hassle. My rep is so much more reliable and I know where i am with her. I hope your customers will decide the same thing!0 -
MrsTine, ask your SL, they can look up your ASM for you and provide you with the contact details. You can then ask the ASM who else is in your area.0

Help me!!!
I'm getting myself all confused over replacements and credits, if I'm returning something faulty and want another one - then I just do that as a replacement?
But if I'm claiming for something that should have been in with my delivery and I want it sending out then is that a credit or a replacement?0 -
Hi ladies
Not having a good C18......not yet hit MOV and only a week and a half left....lot of regulars haven't ordered this time. I was expecting some biggies with it coming up to Xmas...but no.....
I have only given books to regs this Campaign...I have about 5 spare at the moment...is it worth canvassing my road again? I know I'd have to have a quick turn around with only 5 books.
I have left one in the pub and they are normally big orderers, so fingers crossed.
What do people do when they have a rubbish campaign? What motivates you? Couldnt come at a worse time as I had planned on ordering lots of presents myself-was hoping commission would cover it....but hey ho.Avon Representative October 2010: C16: £276 :T C17: £297 :j0 -
I'm doing OK at C18, but just OK, I thought sales would double at xmas, or at least increase!! Only sold one of my Fergie money makers so far but they can go back anyway....
Still got 10 days left and only one set of brochures has gone out so far so we'll see how the rest go
Thanks for the vista print advice, havn't been back on yet, will let you know how I get on0 -
If you google this camera, it's available at £29.99.... makes a bit of a mockery of the £60 Avon are wanting. It's not really a half price offer, when they have to spend £10 to get it at £25....
Just thought I would mention it so we are all aware! I only looked as was going to get it for MIL for Xmas.
Aureol - I'm trying very hard to keep positive!!! Ihave 2 customers who missed their free gift off, so I got them one anyway. I have started my loyalty scheme, and I have included a little goody bag of free samples for my customers.
I am however more than a little bit mad with the school!! They could have done body shop or something and it wouldn't have felt like such a sh*tty thing to do. :A If they had spoken to me and offered to promote mine and help out they could have had a percentage for their efforts instead of stabbing me in the back!!
Off to deliver a couple now. All the joysStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
They could at least put all the samples in a big. It is a nuisance. But them I'm very grumpy today which doesn't help! Everything is annoying me. I looked at teh bumper box, but now my situation has changed and I'm not prepared to fork out on anything like that. You could always send it back if you're not happy with it?0
