Theres a few options for peter too.
Heres a link, sure someones used this already? but if you type in PE in the search. note: the * can be put in for missing letters
Link to Gazetteer
Had a quick scan of the others but not thorough tbh0 -
regarding dragons and boats, I stumbled across this (the British Dragon Association) but have found no way to link it in so far.
[edit] Googling that I also stumble across another BDA (although it should be the BDBRA) - The British Dragon Boat Racing AssociationNot as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
I did not find the gazetteer site very user friendly. I tried searching, but it brought up lots of places without pete in them.
Not convinced on the dragon boat idea.
I was going with my Welsh idea and looking at Lampeter. I got quite excited when I saw on the map the Mulberry Bush. I was convinced that was going to be the a pub linked into the nursery rhyme idea. I thought I would look at their website and find a CR and P room. Only to be disappointed to find it was not a pub at all, but a toy shop. Oh well - try again I suppose.0 -
:j:j:j I think I might have itI went back to Petersfield, I was convinced it must be right it fitted too perfectly, then went back to my old idea that the rhyme might be the adjoining village of Sheet. This time I found this place
On that site there is a floorplan which shows a room labelled Changing Room & Props
Which would give us Hanging Wood:D
this one in Yorkshire is associated with Robin Hood and a river flows through it called
Robin Hood's stream
looks good to me??
oh my goodness, well done everyone!! :T:T
Thought we were never going to get there, I'd never have got this one in a million years.0 -
just to throw another line of thought into the mush, what if we are bearing down the wrong track entirely.
Now don't get me wrong, I like the link to the hurt arms, dragon balloon company - but maybe we are at the wrong source?
The wording of the line is You're soon to discover a great source of pain - I can't help but think that while the hurt arms is a source of pain, and it is at the source for CW, is it a GREAT source of pain? - That said, I am not coming up with any other reasonable suggestions. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
