    cheap ferries to France?

My plan is to by two x 24 hr (booze cruise) returns and use only half of each ticket.

= 2x£39(ish) = £78 as opposed to £560 quoted on my chosen route and dates.

Anybody for see a problem? I'm sure its been done before!

if you don't show for either leg they charge you the difference between the price you paid and the price of the actual trips you've just taken. I'd read the terms and conditions of the tickets before you attempt this(however it may be cheaper this way still just check how much single tickets are then youknow your potential exposure, though in fairness I bet the price when they do charge your card will be a lot more as it will be on that day they price it up)

    i.e P&O state the following

All tickets of Restricted Duration are only valid where the outward and return journeys are completed within the specified period of time, with the same vehicle and passengers and using the same operator. If you fail to travel on one part of your booking then we may charge you a supplement. That supplement will be the difference between the amount you have paid and the price for the standard single fare appropriate to the sailing used. This payment will be collected using the credit card details provided when paying for the original booking.

I've checked on the stena and irish ferries website. It would cost £90 for 2. Can I get it cheaper anywhere else??

You don't say how long in Dublin. If it's a day trip they are from £9 http://www7.stenaline.co.uk/servlet/se.ementor.econgero.servlet.presentation.Main?data.node.id=17415&data.language.id=2

but as with all ferries longer trips cost as much as five times that.
