Well here in the West Midland it is a thoroughly miserable, rainy day...but still not cold (although it feels a little cooler than it actually is because its so dark).
Still had no need to put the heating on yet, although same an an earlier poster mentioned, windows are now shut, with vents open.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Heating has been on here (north east), but i've been doing a Chinese laundry so it's to dry bedding, towels, etc.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Another Essex home here, we have tested the heating so far, but that is it. I usually try to keep it off until November, but last year failed miserably. We have a new front door going in next week, and carpet in half the house so that should keep us a bit warmer. The seals had gone on the 40yr old door and was wringing with water whenever the heating went on.
Also into the mix, I am expecting our first baby next month, so I have central heating all to myself! Plus the longer we can keep it off the less I will worry about having it on more over the winter.0 -
got it on. (been on for a few hours over last 3 days) reason being had my carpets cleaned on mondya so needed them to dry. and today we got soaking wet on the school run, and my children are only 4 and 2 and i refuse for them to be ill from being drenched. will probs turn it off after today until it gets really cold....but my kids come first before money216/2018 (make ££ in 2018)

Balmy here in Reading but we all have jumpers and thick socks on.
This year is a bit different though as we have a newborn - I'm constantly checking whether he's too hot or too cold! So far so good, so no heating here.If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
Heating is still off here too. Had the windows open all day yesterday and most of this morning, until it started raining.
I thought it was really hot last night actually so I'm hoping it will be quite mild for a while and we can keep the heating off until November.0 -
No heating needed here at all, its been 19 degrees outside, and feels very very warm , ive got a thin fleece on but could really do with a thinner top , this will help the heating bills alot , not the slightest bit cold yet, plus no rain , ive got a shed full of coal and 2 trailer loads of wood , keep that for when we do need heating............0

Heating on! NO CHANCE. We still have back doors and most windows open all day here in Hampshire.
I love letting the fresh air in the house.
Even in the darker, cold days we have the CH on for about 3 hours a day.1 hr in the early morning and 2hrs 6-8pm.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
OFF in Wales. was on for a few hours a day when I was ill, but back off now, in fact it's 20 degrees in the lounge with no heating on and the back door open - very grey, rainy and miserable outside, but warm, so feel all cosy
