Cannot believe its nearly October and the heating is still off, even the family haven't asked for it to be on yet. Weatherman just said weekend looks like its going to be nice so hopefully still no heating and not yet got the dehumidifier out yet which is another sign its going cold.x

Just been out the back door and the sky looks as if it's heading to be a clear and chilly night.

Got me fleecy blanket round me and the dinky oil filled radiator on to take the chill off. May put the whole heating on in a bit if it gets any cooler.
  • I'm really surprised how warm it still is, I'm in Wiltshire and I've had the windows wide open all day:D saying that I don't think I turned the heating on until November last year.

It's been nice and warm here today, but there is a definite chill in the air this evening, autumn approaches I think.
  • Heatings on but not for long or high.

Here is a question as we all decide when it's the right time for us to switch on....is it better to have the radiator thermostats set low and the boiler thermostat high or vice versa?.

I only ask as looking on the web today I have found conflicting arguments.

On for a few hours this morning as the bathroom was very chilly for poor little old me.

I think we have had a bonus with it being so mild for so long, must have saved us all a few quid thankfully.
