Heating is off at the moment, was tempted last night for a few minutes but fortunately was too lazy to get out of bed. Mind you, I was only cold because I was sleeping under a sheet only - so tonight I am getting the 4.5 tog out for the first time since about May :)

Warm enough here to go without a jacket during the day but the nights are a bit chill out. Just put a cardigan on to sit and read for a while before bed, still no need for extra blanket, hwb etc yet.
  • off tonight, but just put on a blankey around me little toes,
  • It was 24.5 on our thermostat today, that was with the back door open most of the day. Our conservatory is too hot in the summer but it comes into it's own this time of year if the sun is out. Clearly the heat penetrates into the living room as it was only about 19 degrees outside. Long may this weather continue.

  • I'm there too and I wouldn't say it was freezing yet, not by a long way.;)

I'm a cauld spud though! Plus this house is permanently cold and damp :( Apparently we're getting some wintery weather in October. Do you know anything about that?

  • I hear you on the heavy bedding! The flannel sheets will be on soon.

The heating kicked on this morning for a very short time. It was 10C in the house.

Snow is a coming soon. Can feel the weather changes in my knees.

Mine was on a couple of weeks ago probably now, when the weather seemed to suddenly turn a bit colder. There were a couple of really cold days. It is still on the timer to come on, but the last week I have been switching the thermostat down so that it doesn't come on as it's been quite nice on the northeast coast.

I switch the thermostat up when I leave the house so that it's nice and warm when I get in from night shift....just in case, but have ended up opening the doors and windows to let cooler air in when I get back as too warm, and that's with it only on for an hour.

With a bit of luck I may be able to keep it off other than an hour in the morning on my shift days until end of october....but we'll see, I am finding being on the coast more unpredictable than inland.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
