  • It's been a beautiful day here today, I went to the garden centre for some spring bulbs, wearing cut off leggings with a light weight top and I was warm....so the heating is off and the doors open most of the day....

I will be so pleased if I get to October without needing it :T

It will be a bit of a heat or eat situation this coming winter so no heating yet, doors/windows all open, felt the first nip this evening but I'm riding it out as long as I can. I'll keep warm by eating hot food, wearing warm clothing, using fleeces and hwb when the time comes, until then still enjoying my salads for tea.

Off so far but had the wood stove in the living room on a cople of times a few days ago before the weather improved.

Hoping to last until usual date, 1st November. But we don't always manage.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

I have popped the heating on I think twice this month and I have been horrified at how quickly the gas meter has gone up  Really trying to reduce our usage this winter without compromising our health or comfort.

  • Still off here. It's been quite warm the past few days, so definitely don't need it on yet. :)

  • No chance of being on for ages yet. It's been a lovely day with us still in shorts & tee shirts. :j

We are a hardy lot "up north" though :rotfl:

Just reading this thread with interest... I'd like to add one for team south, we have been fine all day with no need for heating! It's blooming balmy.

However, we have had it checked and it works, rather too well infact, so we won't be using it until its needed and blankets, snugly clothes are no longer working. Otherwise we will all boil!

Still lovely and warm here in Hampshire. Had to open the patio doors at 9pm on Thursday to cool the place down. Looks like being a warm weekend too.
  • We had a new thermal boiler installed yesterday so it will be interesting to compare the readings as this winter goes on. No heating of any sort has been on here yet except for what the plumber had on for testing.
