Is your heating ON or OFF?

Still off here although we had a wood fire last night (more for the novelty than the warmth).
Cellular blankets on the bed and on my knee and a lurcher snuggled up with Mr Zaxdog and I at night0 -
Still off and I have been so delighted to be delaying it longer this year as I really want to reduce my heating bills.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Essex checking in! We're still warm here. Started to shut the windows (windows shut/vents open) and making more warm meals (baked potatoes, etc.) but we're not turning on the heat!
Said we'd make it til Oct 1, so everything is a bargain now!
Stay strong my friends. x.0 -
Same here...I so wish this year was a mild one...in general I'll be starting to cook warm meals again...still able to wear what are "Normal clothes" and dive under the quilt. But have managed to avoid the thermals/hats/gloves, think I am better prepared this year(I hope so)
I don't dread the Autumn/Winter so much for the dark nights(but for being cold)and not being cosy. But if the extra clothes, hot water bottles, electric blanket, bedding works this year...I guess I'll manage. Well, you have to..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

It's wet here today, but really unseasonably warm, not that I'm moaning. I am happy to not need the heating for as long as possible.0

Same here in Hampshire, wet this morning and just overcast now but still 19 deg C outside and I've no waterproof gear of the right weight to be comfortable walking the Lurcha so am melting inside even breathables. No need for the woodstove for some time to come I think and we just don't ever use the central heating any longer except when it's below freezing first thing in the morning in the depths of winter, Cheers Lyn xxx.0
