  • this is how i feel too. I haven't resorted to getting a coat on yet, its been a hoodie this week. No socks or boots either, i'm still in my wedge shoes. We are using the duvets on the beds, and I have had my slippers on at home in the evenings. But not time for the heating on yet.

I've had to get out the hoodie too and my boots have made an appearance as it's been raining too much for my usual pumps.
It seems a little warmer here the last couple of days (that could just be me getting used to the change in temp though) so definitely no heating on here yet.

Still off, but the dri buddi did take the chill off a bit yesterday whilst it was drying one lot of clothes. It will be drying more in a while too.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
  • Off - but only because the new (last month) boiler won't switch on for the heating.

    I am LIVID about it!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

Main heating off here but did clean out log burner yesterday and did a trial run last night - just burnt a small basket of garden waste (twigs!) and paper :D No plans to put heating back on until October..............that means the camping stove can go away too - solid fuel Aga!

  • depressingly had to allow the OH to put the heating on - for 1 hour only!!! He's been ill all week so granting him this as he's still not at 100% health. However once he's finished his course of antibiotics (Monday) it's back off for as long as I can keep it off - til November?!!! :)

I put the CH on for an hour twice this week just to take the chill off but to be honest, it got too warm so I won't be bothering for a while longer, I hope!

I've hurt my back somehow so popped it on for an hour at a very low setting yesterday. Eased my back a bit - but I'm sure it's psychological as temp monitor barely moved.

will be on a bit monday night and tuesday morning as dad is coming to stay overnight and he really feels the cold. But then that's it until october half term as long as no-one is ill.
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)
  • 69 degrees in here right now, and I'm stripped to waist.

Still not turned it on, socks and a thin scarf tucked inside my sweater are keeping me warm. Also been moving about rather than just sitting, soon worked up some heat cleaning the kitchen so have opened the back door to let the fresh air in:D
