    Good afternoon all :)
My heating is OFF and will (fingers crossed) stay off until either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
The kids are with their Dad, and i am perfectly capable of surviving without heat.
Will put it back on when they return though :)

I'd left the timer on(unknown)and had the heating on for two hours this afternoon and did not really notice:(:mad:so I'll be leaving it off for a few days to make up for that mistake. Had I been awake I would have heard it come on and switched it off...

We're trying 2 24 hour experiments. Were costing up how much it costs to have the heating on low all day (not overnight) compared to putting it on for a couple of hour bursts through the day.

anyone hear how fuddle's experiement went? I cant seem to find a follow up....

I believe that it was working out more expensive leaving it on but Fuddle has been missing for a few days...so no doubt will be along with an update.

How I would love a coal fire, the next best thing for me is candle's flickering away I love them.

Cold day today with a bitter cold wind. The heating is still off the longer we keep it off now the more we can have it on when temps get to minus silly. My hands have been cold today the rest of me was ok with plenty of layers on,it helped taking the dogs across the fields walking into the house after being in the bitter wind made it feel warm for a while away.

Doesn't feel quite so chilly here tonight. But there is a fug of bonfire and firework smog, probably keeping any warmth in from the sun earlier. Heating on timer, but only seems to click on for 5 min or so at 18deg.

Its been hailing on and off all day here, and is very cold, so our heating is ON and will be staying on until about 9pm.
