Is your heating ON or OFF?

It's chillier here tonight too. But we're quite cosy. DD is already in her fleece all in one, as when she got into bed she said "bit cold mummy". And I have a fleece blanket around my shoulders. Leather sofas are easy to keep clean bpwhen you have toddlers, but they are not warm and cosy!
It's getting much colder up here, I've resisted putting the heating on but I think I may have to soon because we've got an old house and when it's been cold for a while it needs a blast to warm the walls up otherwise it feels a bit damp.
I'm happy wrapping up and using fleeces but if my OH feels cold I'll definitely put it on, he's a bilateral amputee (last leg off in June) so he's not mobile and feels the cold and with his other health problems I'm not going to take any risks. As much as it gripes me to hand over our money to the greedy gas supplier needs must and I'd rather cut down elsewhere to make sure my OH stays warm.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
still off at the moment as its quite mild but supposed to get cooler over the next few days I just tuck my knitted blanket around my knees and put another cardi on ..oh and a hat if I'm watching t.v. and no one is likely to call, save the heating for when its really chilly0

Off at the moment, I am starting to feel it in the evenings, so the curtains are being closed and socks are staying on. I even had a cardi on last night! I hope to keep mine off as long as possible.I promise that I will do my best.....0

Mine is off at the moment. Would like to make it to Halloween or at least the end of the week that the kids break up. It does feel chilly though and I am wearing a cardi and the kids are in long sleeves. It is around 15oC in the house so its not freezing.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Ours is off, but it is getting chilly now. I do like to snuggle up though in my jamas, with a blanket and hot water bottle though, whereas my OH complains when he's wearing shorts and t-shirt and he's cold in the house. Gah! Really annoys me!
I'd like to not have it on until November to keep costs down to be honest, unless it gets uncomfortably cold in the house.0 -
Its going to be a cold one tonight according to the weather wizards (who obviously didn't go to Hogwarts). However, we shall persevere with the heating off, me walking around in shorts and t shirt (that may change later on though, we shall see), and the missus in fleece with quilt over the top, saying - "feel my nose - its freezing" every five minutes.:D0

It`s on as from last night. House was starting to feel damp and after trying to keep warm with lots of layers on I put it on.0

I never turn it off - just turn the thermostat down. It's 17 at moment, so is just warm in the morning. Hasn't come on in the evening as yet, probably because we get the sun in the front of the house in the afternoon.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

I came home at lunchtime and the house was quite cold, it went on and has stayed on. I have put it back on timer now so it will go off about 9.30pm tonight and back on for tomorrow morning at 5am. If we have this predicted frost then we are going need it on.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money
