Just paid the last 40 of my previous bill.... new one due on the 21st, will submit readings on the 20th and keep my fingers crossed it is lower than the last one...

    Thermostat on 18 degrees....
  • Wow, thanks for the suggestions. I hadn't thought about asking him to repair/replace (I think it will be cheaper to replace) the dehumidifier. He is doing the dg himself with the help of someone else so I will use that as a time to broach the subject, I will also draft a letter this evening. I'm really not very good at this kind of thing, although after living as many places as I have I should be better at it!
  • I'm very happy if I've been of some help m'dear. If you need another pair of eyes to draft your letter I'm here

    I've been Money Tipped!
Off today....or at least this morning, it is so much milder this morning, it's fab!
  • Gas heating and fires still off. A bit cool when I returned home yesterday after the weekend away. 7 C downstairs and 6 C in the bedroom Paid less than £20 for last quarter's gas bill so having the house cold it has its rewards. More money left for chocolate!

i dont suppose i ought to admit to having the heating on and the gas fire should i? To think i was considering taking the fire out completely i must have been mad.....Mind you, the fire does need replacing.

Very mild here today. Had heating on in the morning for a couple of hours, then off when I went out, then on again on very low for a couple of hours then off altogether. It's toasty here at the moment and the heating won't go on again for the rest of today. Forecast is for a mild week end, hooray. :)
