I've got mine on constant now, but on a really low radiator thermostat setting, with the boiler flame turned down to halfway.

I think for our house that'sworkied better for us too the last two days. I'm quite worried about freezing through the night (the outdoor loo was frozen again this morning, which is fine, but a pipe bursting would not be nice)

-4 here a while ago, would guess it will drop over night :( Gas consumption has gone right up :( It feels worse knowing my ole faithful boiler is operating at just 60% efficency :(

Finished work at 6 - was home in PJs by 6.30 :D:D

as a friend of mine once said "fook the neighbours... i AM the neighbours"

She is from SA and comes out with some great quotes :D
  • DH has totally impressed me tonight. I commented that our gas consumption was low for Nov given that the weather has been so bad. He piped up about how he's wearing 3 or 4 layers now and doesn't bother to put it on all day until we get home (he's off work at the moment).

I am amazed and chuffed with him - he used to be the worse for sitting in a tshirt all day with the heating up on high.

The penny has dropped :D Best thing is DS is following his example too and they are both shutting the doors etc.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
